O’Reilly Auto Parts’ annual World of Wheels returns this weekend at State Fair Park. Harley-Davidson’s motorcycle show is on the agenda, as well as a model car exhibit, pin-up girl contest and charity auction for Children’s Hospital.
2. Grand Re-opening of America’s Black Holocaust Museum

The museum has been closed since 2008, but the space will come alive again as part of a larger redevelopment project in the Bronzeville neighborhood. The new galleries tell 400 years of African American History from pre-captivity to the present day.
3. Currents 38: Christy Matson at MAM

Catch the opening of the Milwaukee Art Museum’s latest installment of the ongoing “Currents” exhibition, Currents 38. The first fiber artist to be featured in this exhibition, Christy Matson of LA considers the gendered history of textile production and honors new ideas about sustainability and labor.

4. Kase + Klassik Cassette Release Show

Milwaukee-based musical artist Klassik has teamed up with acid jazz trio Kase for a one-night only show to promote their new B Side Recordings limited run cassette release. With an eye toward the best of Black American music, founder of B Side Jaime Breiwick will donate part of the proceeds to The Jazz Foundation of America. The event will also include a pop-up shop of vintage clothes from 262 Vintage.
5. Milwaukee Zoo Polar Plunge

There’s still time to secure a spot at the Milwaukee County Zoo’s polar plunge – This year, plungers are raising funds for Special Olympics Wisconsin athletes. Dive in with a team or raise some extra funds to dunk your boss. Afterward, warm up and explore the zoo grounds with your teammates.
6. Annual Bluemound Mini Putt Pub Crawl

Tee up at McGinn’s Sports Bar for the 9th annual mini putt pub crawl this weekend. Registration is $100 for a team of four, and that price includes drink specials at participating bars, lunch, a koozie, and shuttles to take you between bars. Winner takes the gold – and the $1,000 cash prize.
