1. Urban Ecology Center Terrarium Workshop

FRIDAY AT 4 P.M. | MENOMONEE VALLEY URBAN ECOLOGY CENTER

Create your own ecosystem of greenery and plants with this excursion. Hosted by the Urban Ecology Center, tickets range from $9 to $14 and include all of the supplies needed to create your own terrarium. 2. Doggy Day in the Deer District

SATURDAY FROM 9 A.M.-2 P.M. | THE PLAZA AT DEER DISTRICT

This event is presented by Winston’s Wishes and Central Bark Downtown. Expect local vendors, live entertainment, prizes and four-legged friends of all sizes (on leashes, of course). Proceeds from the event will benefit the rescue and the dogs they shelter until they can find their forever home.

3. WMSE’s Rockabilly Chili Fundraiser

SATURDAY FROM 11 A.M.-4 P.M. | MSOE KERN CENTER

Can you handle the heat? WMSE Radio’s annual Rockabilly Chili Fundraiser returns this weekend with over 30 different chilis from across Milwaukee. Fundraiser attendees will have the opportunity to vote for the best meat, heat, veggie and unique chili in show. Advance tickets are on sale for $15, and tickets at the door are $20. Tickets are available online, and each ticket includes 4 chili samples.

4. JK Lee’s Great Midwest Tournament of Champions

SATURDAY FROM 9 A.M.-5 P.M. | BROOKFIELD EAST HIGH SCHOOL

The largest tournament of its kind in the Midwest, this event will host over 1,000 marital artists of different ages. The event is open to the public and will highlight a professional demonstration by Martial Arts Masters at 12:30 p.m. The event also entails a Board Break competition and fundraiser through the Red Cross for Ukrainian refugees.

5. Milwaukee Makers Market – Celebrate MKE Day

SUNDAY FROM 10 A.M.-4 P.M. | DISCOVERY WORLD MUSEUM 

Join these local makers and celebrate Milwaukee at this Makers Market. The market is free to the public and will feature stained glass works from @coolafglass, crocheted creations from @littlewomancreations and foodie favorites, like those of @heirloom.mke. 6. Bayshore Bunny Hop & Egg Hunt

SATURDAY AT 1 P.M. | THE YARD AT BAYSHORE

Hop on over to Bayshore this weekend for fun, free and festive Easter activities. The egg hunt will start at 1:30 p.m. with one lucky duck having the opportunity to find the golden egg, containing a certificate for Kilwins ice cream for a year! While you’re there, be sure to grab a photo with the Easter Bunny as well.

7. Del Amitri

SATURDAY AT 3 AND 8 P.M. | SHANK HALL

The “Roll To Me” performers are in Milwaukee this weekend performing two shows at Shank Hall. Their new album “Fatal Mistakes” releases this Friday, April 8. The 8:00 p.m. show is sold out, but tickets are still available starting at $35 for the 3 p.m show.

8. Haiku Slam and Poetry Showcase

SATURDAY AT 1 P.M. | WOODLAND PATTERN BOOK CENTER, INC.

Do you have a way with words? This event, hosted by haiku poet “Darlin” Nikki Janzen, is open to all, whether you are a participating wordsmith or just a watchful eye. Those interested in performing their work must register in advance.

9. JoJo: The JoJo Tour

FRIDAY AT 8 P.M. | THE RAVE/EAGLES CLUB

The “Too Little Too Late” singer will hopefully be right on time when she takes the stage at The Rave this Friday night. The setlist for JoJo’s tour is sure to feature songs from her earlier discography as well as tunes off her latest album “Trying Not to Think About it.” The show is open to all ages and general admission tickets are available starting around $26.
