9 Beer Events Brewing This Week in Milwaukee: Aug. 18-22

The Wolf is coming to town. The outstanding barrel-aged imperial stout from 3 Sheeps Brewing will be around this weekend. If stouts aren’t your thing, there are several other beer-related events to take part in.

Tuesday, Aug. 18

Beat the Brewer at WhirlyBall (185 S. Moorland Rd.) starting at 6:30 p.m. Folks from Bells Brewery will be there to take on challengers. WhirlyBall will also be pouring a few standouts from Bells. Sign up to ensure your spot.

Thursday, Aug. 20

Broken Bat Brewing (135 E. Pittsburgh Ave.) is releasing its version of Black Is Beautiful Imperial Stout at 2 p.m. on tap and in to-go bombers. The preorder starts on Wednesday at 2 p.m.

The Brass Tap is bringing a slew of great 3 Sheeps Brewing offerings to The Lokal Beer Garden (8415 Sura Ln.) on Thursday and Friday. Thursday’s lineup features 10 different 3 Sheeps brews, including The Wolf, a truly outstanding bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout.



Biloba Brewing is pouring a few of its beers at the Brookfield Village Beer Garden (Hoffman Ave. and Brookfield Rd.) from 5 to 9 p.m.

Pints in the Park comes to Sussex Village Park (W244 N6100 Weaver Dr.) from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and 3 to 8 p.m. on Saturday. Brewfinity Brewing provides the beverages.

Friday, Aug. 21

Juniperus, a saison aged in gin barrels, is being released this weekend at 1840 Brewing. Presale is Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. To-go hours are 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday and noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday.

The 3 Sheeps lineup at The Lokal Beer Garden on Friday is for fruit lovers. A few of 3 Sheeps slushie brews will be on tap as well as a few other fruit-forward options.

Saturday, Aug. 22

The Brass Tap (7808 W. Layton Ave.) is no slouch when it comes to tap takeovers, and the 3 Sheeps lineup on Saturday is impressive. The menu includes The Wolf, a few variants of The Wolf, a barrel-aged Uber Joe Imperial Coffee Stout and Cuvee Blend 2019.

Eagle Park Brewing (S64 W15640 Commerce Center Pkwy., Muskego) is hosting a beer yoga session at 9:30 a.m. For $25 you get an hour of yoga and a beer.
