8 Things to Do This Weekend in Milwaukee: Jan. 7-9

1. Piano Men

OPENS FRIDAY AT 7:30 P.M. | MILWAUKEE REPERTORY THEATER

The world premiere of Piano Men is taking the stage this weekend at the Milwaukee Rep. The two piano players will play a unique set list with rock, pop, classical, Broadway and more, including hilarious stories and audience sing-a-longs throughout. The show runs for 90 minutes with no intermission, and tickets can be purchased online.

2. The Diary of Anne Frank Presented by Milwaukee Entertainment Group

OPENS FRIDAY AT 7:30 P.M. | THE BRUMDER MANSION

In this “new adaptation for a new generation” by Wendy Kesselman, this play tells Anne Frank’s powerful story of hope, fear and grief. The show opens this Friday and runs through Saturday, Jan. 22. Tickets can be purchased online.

3. Morning of Mindfulness

SATURDAY AT 9 A.M. | URBAN ECOLOGY CENTER – WASHINGTON PARK

Start the new year by moving your body and mind through mindfulness this Saturday. Mornings of Mindfulness include guided stretches and relaxation and a community of encouraging individuals who you can set goals with and grow together. Busy this weekend? No worries! Mornings of Mindfulness run every Saturday through the end of February. Registration is required and can be made online.

4. Monster Jam

SATURDAY AT 1 AND 7 P.M. AND SUNDAY AT 1 P.M. | FISERV FORUM

Watch monster trucks compete in intense competitions of speed and skill in this high-energy event at the Fiserv Forum. Watch 12,000-pound monster trucks fly through the air in crazy stunts and go head-to-head in battles. Tickets are available on Ticketmaster.

5. BBQ & Blues Presented by Bulleit Bourbon

SATURDAY FROM 5 TO 8 P.M. | HARLEY-DAVIDSON MUSEUM

7. ABBAFAB

ALL WEEKEND, TIMES VARY | THE FIRESIDE

Head over to the Fireside theatre for dinner and a blast to the past in this ABBA tribute show. The multimedia production will include favorites like “Honey Honey,” “Dancing Queen” and “Fernando,” making sure to get everyone singing along. Tickets and this show’s menu are available online.

8. Ice Skating at Red Arrow Park

Slice of Ice is back at Red Arrow Park for their 2021-2022 season! Bring your family, your friends or your first date to this classic Milwaukee winter attraction.
