7 Things to Do in Milwaukee This Weekend: July 31-Aug 2

Bucks, Brewers and Saint Kate are all back for an exciting weekend in Milwaukee.

1. Brewers Home Opener

FRIDAY, JULY 31 AT 1:10 P.M.

Baseball season is back! After months of uncertainty and an unconventional season opener last week at Wrigley Field, the Milwaukee Brewers are playing at Miller Park once again. No fans are allowed, per health and safety guidelines, but you can tune in to the game on Fox Sports Wisconsin or the Brewers Radio Network.

2. Saint Kate Arts Hotel Opening Weekend

FRIDAY, JULY 31 FROM 4 P.M. TO MIDNIGHT

Explore the galleries at Milwaukee’s first arts hotel while sipping cocktails from the bar and eating Proof pizza. The opening continues on Saturday and Sunday as well.

3. Bucks Season Opener

FRIDAY, JULY 31 AT 5:30 P.M.

The Milwaukee Bucks are facing off against the Boston Celtics in this delayed season opener in Orlando, where all the season’s games will be played. Tune in on ESPN or WTMJ to cheer on the Bucks from a distance.

4. Nō Studios Unplugged with Michael Sodnik

FRIDAY, JULY 31 AT 6 P.M.

Support our local venues and musicians by tuning in to this livestream performance by Michael Sodnik, a Milwaukee-based singer-songwriter and producer with influences of indie rock, pop and jazz.  

5. Hank Aaron State Trail DIY Run/Walk/Ride

SATURDAY, AUG. 1 AT 8:30 A.M. TO SATURDAY, AUG. 8 AT NOON

You pick the pace, the route, and the distance — here’s the fun, easy-going event you were looking for to get you off the couch. And while you might be running solo, you can still motivate your fellow participants and share your progress throughout the week on the event’s Facebook page. Registration is free and open all week.

6. Goat Yoga at Pabst Pilot House

SUNDAY, AUG. 2 FROM 8:30 A.M. TO 11:30 A.M.

Cuteness alert! Who could pass up an opportunity to unwind with baby dwarf goats and a cold drink? This is the Pilot House’s last goat yoga session of the summer, so be sure to register ASAP. Masks are required whenever you’re not on your yoga mat.

7. Sugar Maple Art Sale

SUNDAY, AUG. 2 FROM NOON TO 4 P.M.

Check out some cool artwork and support the local youth organizations 50 Miles More and Teens Grow Greens at this art show and silent auction. Masks and social distancing are required.
