6 Grammy Nominees You Can See Live in Milwaukee

You have the chance to see these critically acclaimed nominees in concert at local venues and Summerfest.

1. Glass Animals

MAR. 20 AT 8 P.M. | MILLER HIGH LIFE THEATRE

Glass Animals, a British indie rock band that formed in 2010, will be performing at the Miller High Life Theatre later this month. Fans were surprised to see that the act was nominated in the Best New Artist category after a lengthy career. With three albums under their belt, the band found chart-topping success with the 2021 single, “Heat Waves.”

2. Baby Keem

APRIL 4 AT 8 P.M. | THE RAVE/EAGLES CLUB

Named Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Rookie of the Year, Baby Keem has had a breakthrough in the industry. Keem has been nominated alongside Kendrick Lamar for Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song for “family ties,” as well as Best New Artist. You may have heard the rapper’s song “first order of business” in the “Brush My Teeth Before I See My Queen” trending TikTok challenge late last year.

3. Olivia Rodrigo 

APRIL 19 AT 8 P.M. | THE RAVE/EAGLES CLUB

With seven Grammy nods, newcomer Oliver Rodrigo has shown that she is a force to be reckoned with this awards season. Her singles “drivers license”, “deja vu” and “good 4 u” dominated the charts in 2021, as did her debut album, Sour. The 19-year-old will be bringing her first tour to a sold-out crowd at The Rave in April. You can get notified here if more tickets become available.

4. Justin Bieber

JUNE 24 AT 7:30 P.M. | AMERICAN FAMILY INSURANCE AMPHITHEATER

That’s right, JB is coming back to Milwaukee. After two postponed dates as a Summerfest headliner in 2020 and 2021, The Biebs will be headlining the Big Gig this year. The Canadian pop star’s latest album Justice and No. 1 hit “Peaches” gained him eight Grammy nods, tying him with Doja Cat and H.E.R. for the second-most nominations.

Nominations: Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Music Video of the Year, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, Record of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Pop Solo Performance, Best R&B Performance 

5. Halsey

JULY 2 AT 7:30 P.M. | AMERICAN FAMILY INSURANCE AMPHITHEATER

Halsey, like Bieber, rescheduled their Summerfest headlining dates from 2020 and 2021. The “Without Me” singer’s album If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power has been nominated for Best Alternative Music Album this year. This is their third Grammy nomination, the first being a collaboration on Justin Bieber’s album Purpose and the second being “Closer” with The Chainsmokers (aka the soundtrack song of Summer ‘16).

6. The Kid LAROI

AUG. 4 AT 8 P.M. | THE RAVE/EAGLES CLUB

18-year-old The Kid LAROI is the youngest-ever Australian artist to reach No. 1 on the Billboard charts with the Justin Bieber collaboration, “Stay.” He has also received critical acclaim alongside Summerfest 2021 Headliner Miley Cyrus on the track “Without You.” The teenager will bring his tour to The Rave this summer after rescheduling. There is a low ticket alert, however, so get your tickets fast!

The 64th Annual Grammy Awards are a month away. Music’s biggest night will be televised on CBS at 7 p.m. on Sunday, April 3.
