5 Things to do in Milwaukee This Valentine’s Day Weekend

Wine, Galentine’s and more this Valentine’s Day weekend in Milwaukee.

1. Date Night with Chef Brendan: Chicken Piccata with Soft Polenta

SATURDAY AT 5 P.M. | ONLINE

This Valentine’s Day weekend, take your taste buds on a trip to southern Italy by cooking chicken piccata and soft polenta with Chef Brendan Fleming of Glorioso’s Appetito. For an airfare of $35, the meal will make you forget you’re in the Midwest and not basking in the warm sun of Sicily or Campania. 

2. Valentine’s Weekend Sip and Paint

SATURDAY FROM 6-10 P.M. | 823 W NATIONAL AVE

Name a better duo than wine and painting. At R & Z Urban Art Gallery, you can experience this duo with your other half during a night of art, music and high spirits. One ticket ($50) includes one large canvas to complete as a couple, a bottle of champagne and strawberries to share. When not sipping or sharing said strawberries, masks are required.

3. Thief Wine’s Virtual Winery Tasting with American Wine Project

SATURDAY AT 7:30 PM | ONLINE

Whether you’re sipping solo or alongside someone special, you can attend this virtual tasting where Milwaukee Public Market’s Thief Wine pairs with American Wine Project to support and showcase local wineries. Attendees can buy one, two, or all three of the wines featured in the tasting, but no fee is required to attend the virtual event itself.

4. Milwaukee’s Greatest Love Stories Virtual Tour

SUNDAY AT 9:30 A.M. | ONLINE

You can watch fictional love stories unfold on screen any other day of the year, but this Valentine’s Day, you can hear true, local love stories from Milwaukee. Whether you’re writing your own personal love story or your story has yet to be written, you can let these lively stories of love sweep you off your feet. Attendance is $10 per household, or $75 with the purchase of a Breakfast in Bed Box, complete with pancake mix, coffee, cookies and more.

5. Galentine’s Day Brunch

SUNDAY FROM NOON-4 P.M. | 838 1ST ST.

If you’d prefer to spend this Valentine’s Day with your closest Galentines, simply roll out of bed, don’t bother changing into out of your pajamas and head over to the 2nd Annual Galentine’s Day Brunch at Freight 38. The event is exclusive to girlfriends only and has two outfit contests with an Aveda gift basket and Lucky Ginger gift card as prizes. Raise your spirits by purchasing a ticket for a group of five for $75 or an individual ticket for $18.
