Washington House Inn (W62 N573 Washington Ave.) is “a quaint and quiet destination,” a historic bed and breakfast, perfect for a romantic getaway. The nearby shops at Cedar Creek Settlement have stores, restaurants and galleries for all tastes. There’s even a woolen mill on the banks of Cedar Creek.

Relax at the Hidden Serenity Bed and Breakfast (1876 Shalom Dr., West Bend) and enjoy the country setting. Kettle Moraine State Forest is nearby, if you’d like to take on some hiking or cross-country skiing. Or head to the Museum of Wisconsin Art (205 Veterans Ave., West Bend) for contemporary and historical Wisconsin art.
