21 Beer Events Brewing in Milwaukee This Week: July 18-22

This week’s full of new releases and beer fests.

Tuesday, July 18

Lakefront Brewery (1872 N. Commerce St.) is unveiling its renovated riverwalk patio from 5 to 8 p.m.

Wednesday, July 19

Paint a cool beach dawn scene during Paint & Sip at The Tap Yard – West Bend (4875 County Highway Z) from 6 to 8 p.m. Tickets are $30.

1840 Brewing’s Beer Garden Road show makes a stop at Longacre Pavillion (7343 North Longacre Rd. Fox Point) from 5 to 9 p.m.

This week’s release from 1840 Brewing (342 E. Ward St.) is This Grist, a Belgian-style grisette.

Hacienda Beer Co. and Door County Brewing are taking over the taps at Ray’s Growler Gallery (8930 W. North Ave.) from 4 to 10 p.m.

Thursday, July 20

Amorphic Beer (3700 N. Fratney St.) is suppling the libations for five-course beer dinner at Crops on Top, next to the brewery. Tickets are extremely limited can be purchased for $150.

Working Draft Beer Company is taking over some of the taps at Draft & Vessel (4417 N. Oakland Ave.) from 5 to 10 p.m.

Friday, July 21

Third Space Brewing (1505 W. St. Paul Ave.) is has another Pints with a Purpose release. Persistent Wit will start flowing at 5 p.m., with 20% of the proceeds benefiting Ladies Rock MKE.

The Beer Garden Road Show is at Homestead Hollow (N120 W19809 Freistadt Rd., Germantown) from 4 to 9 p.m.

Try samples from Bofferding (2 to 5 p.m.) and Eagle Park Brewing (3 to 5 p.m.) at Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.).

Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow St.) has samples from Founders Brewing from 3 to 5 p.m.

Saturday, July 22

Central Waters Brewing (1037 W. Juneau Ave.) is releasing two more 25th anniversary barrel-aged stouts and they’re having a backyard BBQ in the process. Gold Label has been aged for 52 months in Pappy Van Winkle barrels. Magenta Label bottles have been aged in Elijah Craig barrels for 42 months. Central Waters is also releasing Bogatini, a tiki-style sour. Get there at 11 a.m. to try them all. Trouble Makers Cocina will be there to provide a base.

The three breweries in the Lincoln Warehouse (2018 S. 1st St.) are hosting the Brewery Bar Olympics, where teams of four will compete in quarters, flip cup and beer pong. Register your team for $60. The doors open at 1 p.m. and competition starts at 2 p.m.

The annual ode to oddness, Weird Fest, comes to MobCraft Beer (505 S. 5th St.). The block party starts at noon and includes Monda Lucha wrestling, belly dancing, live music. It also features a few odd brews like Crush Mango Cayenne, Dill Pickle Sour Ale and Mushroom Marzen. MobCraft is also releasing its 10 Year Anniversary Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout.

The Riverwest Food Truck Rally begins at 4 p.m. at Gathering Place Brewing Company (811 E. Vienna Ave.). Several food trucks will be there, as will the other members of the Riverwest Brewery Syndicate (Amorphic, Lakefront, Company and Black Husky).

Mr. Brews Taphouse (N91 W15720 Falls Parkway, Menomonee Falls) celebrates its seventh anniversary with a tap takeover by more than 25 different breweries from 1 to 4 p.m. Tickets are just $25.

Head to City Lights Brewing (2200 West Mount Vernon Ave.) at 10 a.m. for Sip + Stretch. The yoga session lasts until 11 a.m. and the $15 ticket earns you a discount on your first beer.

Klode Park (5960 North Lake Dr.) hosts the Beer Garden Road Show from 2 to 9 p.m.

The Brewery Running Series kicks off its season at Broken Bat Brewery (135 E. Pittsburgh Ave.). Registration starts at $35 and includes a beer at the end of your 5K run.

Try beer from Sweetwater Brewing Company at Discount Liquor Milwaukee from noon to 2 p.m.

Discount Liquor Waukesha has samples from Grain Belt from noon to 2 p.m.
