1. Hoancoming
THURSDAY AT 6 P.M. | 6 VIEWING AREAS
Hoancoming is back to light the Milwaukee skyline. After its 2024 debut, this free end-of-summer celebration is returning to the intersection of the Milwaukee River and Lake Michigan, with a boat parade, light and drone show and an after party at The Cooperage. 2. Bay View Bash
SATURDAY FROM 11 A.M.-10 P.M. | BAY VIEW
Make your way over to Kinnickinnic Avenue, between Potter and Clement, for the 2025 Bay View Bash, the neighborhood’s fest of food, art, music and more. Vendors open and live entertainment starts at 11 a.m., with punk rock yoga to kick off the day at the Milwaukee Record Stage. Check out the lineup of performers at all five stages here.
3. Puerto Rican Festival
SUNDAY FROM 11 A.M.-8 P.M. | HENRY MAIER FESTIVAL PARK
The 12th Annual Puerto Rican Festival of Wisconsin is returning to Milwaukee at the Summerfest Grounds. On Sunday, you can head over to the lakefront to celebrate Puerto Rican culture and heritage with two stages of live music, authentic island cuisine, salsa classes and more. 4. Evanescence – HOG Havoc
THURSDAY AT 6 P.M. | FISERV FORUM
Local radio station 102.9 The Hog’s concert event, HOG Havoc, is coming up, spotlighting two-time Grammy Award-winning rock band Evanescence and featuring Poppy, Sleep Theory and Black map. Expect a night full of raw energy starting at 6 p.m. Doors open at 5 p.m., and tickets are on sale here.
5. Brewers vs. Angels

Watch the Brew Crew take on the Los Angeles Angels on Thursday. It’s College Night at American Family Field, and students can get a $15 concessions credit with a special ticket purchase. Find regular tickets here.
6. Wine Tasting: Big Red Spain

Explore both traditional and modern styles of Spanish red wine at Waterford Wine & Spirits this Thursday evening. Sommeliers will guide guests through three flights – a total of nine wines to-be-tasted – journeying through regions like Rioja, Ribera del Duero and Priorat. You can reserve a spot online.
7. Wire Jewelry Class
THURSDAY FROM 6-8 P.M. | MITCHELL STREET ARTS
During this two-hour workshop, teaching artist Bri Richmond will demonstrate how to use mandrels and wire-wrapping tools to create wearable designs. The class is pay-what-you-can, with a suggested donation of $20. Registration is required.
8. Author Q&A: Morgan Kielisch

Join authors Morgan Kielisch and Katy Michelle in their conversation celebrating the release of Kielisch’s newest novel, The Reckoning of Gods. A signing will follow – a book copy is included with each ticket. All four of Katy Michelle’s titles will be available for purchase as well.
9. Fruit Art Workshop

Make a fruit art masterpiece at Bronzeville Center for the Arts’ Gallery 507, with Imani Raiyne of Kreative Fruitz. In this two-hour class, guests will learn how to safely design, carve and style fruits, while connecting their creations to nutrition and culture. You can RSVP online.
10. Central Bark Movie Night

Central Bark in New Berlin is throwing a movie night with your pup. This means vaccinated, leashed and social dogs are welcome to a free screening of The Sandlot and pet-friendly popcorn. Adoptable dogs from JR’s Pups N’ Stuff will also be in attendance. Bring your own chair and blanket – Central Bark has the refreshments covered.

Catch renowned comedian Bert Kreischer, while he’s in town for the Milwaukee stop on his “Permission to Party” tour. The show starts at 7 p.m. in the Fiserv Forum, and you can grab tickets to “one of the U.S.’s top stand-ups over the past decade,” according to The Guardian, here.

13. Greendale Oktoberfest

Head to Gazebo Park in Historic Downtown Greendale on Friday and Saturday for a free, family-friendly Oktoberfest celebration. Friday’s event will run from 3-11 p.m., with live music, family activities and fish fry (while supplies last). More bands, food and Eagle Park Brewing beer on tap, from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Saturday.
14. Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra: Batman 1989 in Concert

The Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra will perform composer Danny Elfman’s legendary music from 1989’s Batman during screenings at the Bradley Symphony Center this weekend. You can get tickets to the 7:30 p.m. performances here.

Stop by the Urban Ecology Center at Menomonee Valley to shop native plants. There, you can find nitrogen-fixing legumes, plants suitable for restoration projects and regionally compatible ecotypes.
16. Tailgate Party at Davidson Park

Rep your green and gold at Davidson Park’s tailgate party on Sunday afternoon. A big screen will show live-play of Green Bay vs. Cleveland, and there will be food trucks and a “Best Wings” contest on-site. This free, family-and-dog-friendly event will also have music, games and DIY activities for entertainment between plays.
17. Bean Plant Block Party

Anodyne Coffee Roasting Co. in Walker’s Point is hosting its fourth annual Bean Plant Block Party. On Bruce Street, between Second and Third Streets, there will be Cream City Skatepark skateboard ramps and obstacles, beer from Indeed Brewing Co., snacks and beverages from Station 1846 and more. This free event encourages skaters of all skill levels to participate.
