1. Oktoberfest

ALL WEEKEND | BAVARIAN BIERHAUS

This weekend marks the first Oktoberfest celebration of the season in Heidelberg Park at the Bavarian Bierhaus. Traditional food, music and beer will be available. Festivities will take place every weekend for the next five weeks.

2. The Big Bounce America

ALL WEEKEND | HENRY MAIER FESTIVAL PARK

The world’s largest bounce house is coming to Milwaukee. Giant slides, climbing towers, ball pits and a DJ stage are all inside this over 24,000 sq. ft. bounce house. Everyone is welcome to bounce around as sessions are sorted by age range from toddlers to adults only. Session tickets are available online.

3. Women of Rock

ALL WEEKEND | STACKNER CABARET

The premiere performance of Women of Rock, a tribute to female rock musicians from the ’60s, ’70s, ’80s and today, is this Friday at the Stackner Cabaret. There are also shows on Saturday and Sunday this weekend and every weekend through the beginning of November. Tickets are available online.

4. Packers vs. Eagles Watch Party at On Tap

FRIDAY AT 7:15 P.M. | ON TAP

Kick off this football season at On Tap for a Packers vs. Eagles watch party. With each purchase of select items, you have a chance to win a Blackstone Griddle and other prizes. Plus, celebrate with Touchdown shots every time the Packers score.

5. Trimborn Farm Harvest of Arts & Crafts

FRIDAY AND SATURDAY FROM 10 A.M. – 4 P.M. | TRIMBORN FARM

The Milwaukee County Historical Society is hosting its annual Trimborn Farm Harvest of Arts & Crafts. This year over 100 artisans will be present with live music and Milwaukee County Parks’ Traveling Beer Garden. Entry is $8 per person cash only to support the historic preservation of Trimborn Farm. Children under 12 are free entry and a $3 discount per ticket will be given to those who use the shuttle. An ATM will be available on-site.

6. Romance Con

FRIDAY AND SATURDAY | BAIRD CENTER

This one’s for the hopeless romantics out there. Romance Con is a celebration of the romance genre. Many well-known romance authors will be in attendance for signings, panels and discussions. Tickets are available for purchase online.

7. Wildflowers on the Water

SATURDAY 3-7 P.M. | LAKESHORE STATE PARK

Friends of Lakeshore State Park are hosting Wildflowers on the Water to honor the land, celebrate the blooming prairies and bring awareness to the work they do. This will be the second annual event, with live music, local artists, food trucks and kids’ activities.

8. Pilot Project Fest

SATURDAY 1-4 P.M. | PILOT PROJECTS BREWING MILWAUKEE

This annual beer fest will feature more than 25 breweries and distilleries. Tickets are available online and include drink samples from all vendors and a custom festival glass. Food and full sized beverages will be for sale, and there will be live music too. Must be 21-years-old to attend.

9. Grace Annual Community Rummage Sale

SATURDAY 8 A.M. – 2 P.M. | GRACE CENTER

The 18th annual community rummage sale is back at the Gace Center this Saturday. Entry is free to peruse and shop goods from members of the community. Grace Place Coffee will be open, too. 

10. Silver City Fest

SATURDAY NOON-5 P.M. | NATIONAL AVENUE

The Ethnic and Diverse Business Coalition and AARP Wisconsin are set to host Silver City Fest this Saturday, an event that celebrates the culture and diversity of Milwaukee. Entry to the festival and entertainment is free, while food and art made by local vendors will be offered for sale.

11. Elegant Farmer Autumn Harvest Festival

SATURDAY AND SUNDAY 10 A.M. – 5 P.M. | THE ELEGANT FARMER

It’s opening weekend at the Elegant Farmer Autumn Harvest Festival. An Apple orchard with 12 varieties of apples and a pumpkin patch will both be on the market for harvest. Plus, there will be hayrides, pony rides, train rides, a corn maze and a farmers market. The Elegant Farmer Autumn Harvest Festival will be open every Saturday and Sunday through the end of October.

12. Make Art MKE

SUNDAY 10 A.M.- 4 P.M. | MOUNT MARY COLLEGE

Over 160 artists and makers of fine art and handmade goods will be present at Make Art MKE this Sunday on the Mount Mary campus. The Mount Mary Starving Artists’ Show was a tradition in Milwaukee for over 50 years and this year is being revived as Make Art MKE by Lit MKE and re:Craft and Relic. Entry is $10 for adults and free for children under 12-years-old.

13. United Plants Across America – Summer Floral Show at The Domes

SUNDAY 9 A.M.-5 P.M. | MITCHELL PARK DOMES

This Sunday is the last chance to see the United Plants Across America – Summer Floral Show at The Domes.  This exhibit highlights national landmarks and flowers across the five regions of the United States. Guided group tours can be requested online.

14. Near West Side Block Party

SUNDAY NOON-4 P.M. | THE NEW STATE

A day of art, music, food and community will take place at The New State Music Park.  This block party will kick off Near West Side Week, a week full of different events to celebrate the neighborhood.

15. Pulse Health and Wellness Fest

SUNDAY 10 A.M-3 P.M. | HENRY MAIER FESTIVAL PARK  

This festival is all things health and wellness. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of instructed workout and fitness activities, watch cooking demonstrations, listen to different experts speak and meet many vendors and community health organizations. The festival is free to attend.
