1. Milwaukee Vegan Restaurant Week
ALL WEEKEND | 36 LOCATIONS
Thirty-six local eateries are participating in Milwaukee’s first-ever Vegan Restaurant Week, an effort spearheaded by Café Corazón Owner Wendy Mireles. The lineup of plant-based-friendly restaurants stretches across the city, featuring the East Side’s Beans & Barley and Comet Cafe, Bay View’s Gather Bakehouse, all three Corazón locations and many more. 2. ART at the ATRIUM
THURSDAY FROM 4-9 P.M. | 2107 E. CAPITOL DR.
This one-night-only art exhibition and sale will feature the original artwork of more than 20 local artists, creatives and students. Guests can expect to see a wide range of media that includes painting, photography, sculpture, pottery and more. Admission is free and open to the public.
3. Southeast Wisconsin Festival of Books
FRIDAY AND SATURDAY | CARROLL UNIVERSITY
The 16th annual fest will feature one of Wisconsin’s most popular best-selling authors, Christina Clancy for Friday night’s keynote. Saturday will host 50 authors with talks, panels, readings and book signings. Plus, guests can participate in writing workshops. For the full schedule of events, click here.

4. Milwaukee Rock Theatre Presents: Green Day’s American Idiot
ALL WEEKEND | INSPIRATION STUDIOS
Watch the Milwaukee Rock Theatre bring the sounds of an iconic Green Day album to life, during this high-energy rock opera. A limited number of tickets are available for purchase at the box office only.
5. Funny Marco
ALL WEEKEND | MILWAUKEE IMPROV
Catch comedian Marco Summers while he’s in town for five showtimes at the Improv. The Kansas City-raised comic has reached over 14 million followers across all social platforms. His YouTube series “Open Thoughts” features conversations with celebrities like Kevin Hart, Nicki Minaj, John Cena and Keke Palmer.
6. Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra: Wizard of Oz
ALL WEEKEND | BRADLEY SYMPHONY CENTER
There’s no place like home. You can journey to the Emerald City with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra this weekend at the Bradley Center. During 7:30 p.m. showtimes on Friday and Saturday and a 2:30 p.m. showtime on Sunday, the orchestra will perform Milwaukee-born Herbert Stothart’s score live, along with the classic 1939 film.
7. Books & Bows
THURSDAY FROM 5:30-8 P.M. | PILOT PROJECT BREWING
After receiving over 380 donated books, MKE Books & Beers is teaming up with MKE TBR to host a community book-wrapping night. Six Milwaukee-based and “bookish” vendors will be on-site, and Pilot Project’s bar will be serving up the gift-wrapping fuel. All books will be given to local shelters.
8. Pairing Dinner: JUSTIN Winery & Saz’s
THURSDAY AT 7 P.M. | SOUTH SECOND
You can join Saz’s Executive Chef, Dustin Howard, and Joseph Spellman, a Chicago-based master sommelier, in their union of premier Milwaukee bites and California wines. With a ticket to the five-course meal, guests will be greeted with a complimentary glass of champagne upon arrival.

11. Milwaukee Admirals vs. Rockford Icehogs

Watch the Milwaukee Admirals face off against the Rockford Icehogs on Friday night inside the Panther area. The first 3,000 fans through the doors will take home an Admirals military-themed shirt. The puck drops at 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale here.

13. Xtreme Raptor Day
SATURDAY FROM 10 A.M.-4 P.M. | SCHLITZ AUDUBON NATURE CENTER
This center-wide event will offer up-close meetings with Schlitz Audubon’s resident raptors, including owls, hawks, falcons and eagles. Bird-themed crafts and photo ops will be available throughout the day, along with resources on how to nurture and support the birds that visit your home.
14. Playground Cleanup & Pumpkin Compost
SATURDAY FROM 11 A.M.-2 P.M. | URBAN ECOLOGY CENTER – RIVERSIDE PARK
You can compost your fall pumpkins for free with Compost Crusader at the Urban Ecology Center at Riverside Park. The center is also hosting a two-hour cleanup of the park, in preparation for the harsh temperatures ahead.
15. Holiday Market
SATURDAY AND SUNDAY | MILWAUKEE COUNTY SPORTS COMPLEX
More than 160 artists, makers, vintage curators and pop-up boutiques will take over the Milwaukee County Sports Complex for this two-day Holiday Market by re:Craft and Relic. Check out the live music and food truck options here.
