1. The Intro: Rainforest & Butterflies
THURSDAY FROM 11 A.M. TO 3 P.M. | MILWAUKEE PUBLIC MUSEUM
Check out the grand opening of the Rainforest and Butterflies Greatest Hit exhibit for free this Thursday! Immersive exhibits Rainforest and the Puelicher Butterfly Vivarium showcase both real and recreated specimens showing the planet’s biodiversity. During the opening event, guests can see live insects and arthropods up close, practice using a microscope to see what lives in a sloth’s fur, take a guided tour and more.
2. Milwaukee’s First-Ever Cheese Swap
FRIDAY FROM 11 A.M. TO 1 P.M. | THE NEW FASHIONED
Bring your favorite wedge of cheese and trade it with a stranger at The New Fashioned this Friday. The cheese you bring must be store-bought and sealed to ensure food safety. Bars and Recreation will be hosting games, The New Fashioned mobile kitchen is serving grilled cheese and there will be a 50 tap self-pour wall. This event is connected with the Milwaukee Gold Rush. From now until June 5, cheese-inspired sculptures are hidden around the city and some just might contain money. Clues can be found on the Visit Milwaukee website.
3. Lowwstock Vintage Grand Opening Party

Lowwstock Vintage is celebrating the grand opening of their storefront on Prospect Ave. The racks are full of vintage, secondhand and upcycled pieces, Love Cafe MKE is serving coffee and matcha, Pad Gems is blinging out teeth, and Paloma Wilder is ready to give you your next piercing. Piercings are free with every purchase and if you stay for the afterparty from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. A purchase of food or drinks will get you 15% off the entire store.

4. Mom’s Day Out Sip and Stroll
THURSDAY FROM 5 P.M. TO 8 P.M.| THE VILLAGE OF WAUWATOSA
Visit the Village boutiques and sip on free drinks all evening to celebrate moms. This event is free to attend and no reservation is needed. Participating businesses include Skin Factor, Tranquil Escape Day Spa and Boutique, Little Geese Shop and more. 5. Candle Making Workshop

Hang out with the team at The Local Makery and experience this hands-on, intimate candle making class. Participants will learn everything from selecting a wax and wick to blending a unique fragrance. This class is perfect for every level and wine and N/A beverages are available for purchase. Tickets are $45 each and include all of the materials you will need for class.
6. 30’s and Birdies
THURSDAY FROM 5:30 P.M. TO 7 P.M. | URBAN ECOLOGY CENTER – RIVERSIDE PARK
Whether you just turned 30 or you love a good birding experience, head to Riverside Park to hang out with the folks at the Urban Ecology Center. Alex, a 35-year-old Milwaukee native and community artist will host this event and take guests on a mile long walk. All experience levels are welcome and this workshop is free to attend.
7. Tranquil Flora Paint and Sip
FRIDAY FROM 6 P.M. TO 8 P.M. | THE GREY HOUSE STUDIO
Learn how to paint a beginner-friendly nature pattern at The Grey House Studio. This class is led by instructor Megan and the purchase of a ticket includes all of the painting supplies. A full bar will be available and parking is free. Tickets are $39.19 and can be purchased online.
8. World Migratory Bird Day Celebration
SATURDAY FROM 8 A.M. TO 12 P.M. | URBAN ECOLOGY CENTER – WASHINGTON PARK
Come celebrate Migratory Bird Day at Washington Park. From 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., guest speakers and presenters will lead lectures, Q&A’s, crafts and more for guests to enjoy on a com-and-go basis. Tickets can be purchased online and a price break special is available for those purchasing multiple.
9. 2nd Annual LGBTQ Spring Marker’s Market

The LGBT Community Center’s Maker’s Market is back and better than ever for year two. Shop the selection of stickers, jewelry, art prints, herbal medicine and more. A bake sale and raffle of items donated by local artists will also be available.

Stop by Anodyne Coffee Roasting Co and support Almost Home Cat Rescue MKE. The coffee shop will be packed with unique local vendors and a portion of the proceeds will go to Almost Home’s mission of supporting, caring for and rescuing cats in Wisconsin.
11. Resilience: A History of Chinese Milwaukee
SATURDAY FROM 10 A.M. TO 11:30 A.M. | FOREST HOME CEMETERY
Delve into the history of Milwaukee’s first Chinese immigrants and their contributions to Wisconsin’s culture and commerce. Local history enthusiast Sara Wong will lead this 1.5 mile walking tour covering personal history, multi-generational families and Chinese religious and memorialization traditions among many other topics. Tickets for the walking tour are available online for $10 each. The tour will commence rain or shine and guests are encouraged to dress for the weather.
12. Queer Prom: A Night Under the Stars

This Saturday is prom night! Whether you didn’t get a high school prom or you’re looking for a do-over, the crew at South Second invites everyone to a cosmic queer prom. Milwaukee Airwaves is Djing all night and a cash bar will be available. Tres Ojos is providing tarot card readings and Drag Queen Ramona is performing at 8:30 p.m. Tickets to this event are available online and a portion of the proceeds goes to the Milwaukee Trans and Queer Depot’s vital community work.

The Pfister Hotel is rolling out the red carpet for mom this Sunday. Enjoy a gourmet brunch in The Pfister Hotel’s Grand Ballroom, serving a sculpted ice and seafood display, artisanal cheese and bread, fresh starters including presto pasta salad and more. Join Alayna Pernell at the Weber’s Greenhouse for a grounding yoga class fit for all levels. The class weaves intuitive movement with conscious breath and moments of stillness to support nervous system regulation and a deeper connection with your body. The space is warm and filled with plants adding to the comforting vibes. Guests are encouraged to bring their own mat and a water bottle. Tickets are available online for $13.25 each.
15. Plant Bingo – A Mother’s Day Celebration

Parkway Floral is throwing a Plant Bingo Bonanza for Mother’s Day. Each ticket will include a clay pot to decorate, one drink ticket, a charcuterie snack and 12 rounds of plant-themed bingo. At the end of each round, plant-themed prizes will be given out to the winners. All of the proceeds will be donated to the Milwaukee Area Renewal Movement (MARM) Farm, a non-profit dedicated to fostering sustainable food systems, environmental stewardship and community empowerment. Tickets can be purchased online for $50 each.
