It’s the best day of the year! Here’s 14 safe ways to celebrate Milwaukee Day.

1. Join Lakefront Brewery’s Virtual Toast

Lakefront Brewery founders Russ and Jim Klisch are hosting a virtual toast for 414 Day at 4:14 p.m. The brewery is also offering free six-packs of Riverwest Stein to healthcare workers. Just bring your healthcare ID to Lakefront between noon and 8 p.m.

2. Order a Milverine Bobblehead

In honor of 414 Day, The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum has added the Milverine to their collection. “If there’s one person in the city that puts a smile on people’s faces when they see them, it’s Milverine,” the listing says. $5 from every bobblehead will be donated to the Milwaukee Humane Society.

4. Join Virtual 414 Day

Swarmm Events has put together a digital celebration of all things Milwaukee. They have scheduled eight hours of events that will feature local artists, brands, bars, restaurants breweries and musicians. 

5. Tune in for Story Time With Milwaukee Historian John Gurda

John Gurda will be reading the Gertie the Duck for story time with Historic Milwaukee. The vintage, out-of-print children’s book is a unique retelling of the iconic Gertie, a duck who captivated Milwaukee. 

6. Sip on Elwood’s Liquor & Tap’s 414 Beer

Elwood’s Liquor & Tap is selling six-packs and cases of 414 beer as well as 414 Day shirts. The sale is happening from noon to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Profits will go to the staff at Elwood’s. 

7. Support a Milwaukee-Area Fundraiser

The organizers of the annual Milwaukee Day festival are taking a new approach this year. Instead of putting on an event, they are using their website and social media to promote Milwaukee initiatives that need community support. 

8. Vote for the Cutest Dog in Milwaukee

Help decide who is the cutest pup in Milwaukee by voting in our Cutest Dog Contest. You can vote for as many doggos as you want, but you can only vote for each pup once. 

9. Tune in to WMSE 91.7

For 24 hours WMSE DJs will be showing their Milwaukee pride and sharing their love for this city. 

10. Compete in Name That Beer At Home 414 Edition

This is the first-ever Name That Beer at Home competition from Sugar Maple. Comment “Heads Up!” on the event page by noon for your chance to win a growler of a mystery beer and play in the challenge. 

11. Pick Up a 414 Day Carryout Party

Who’s on Third is  selling MKE Ink Press’ custom-designed 414 Day shirts. Exactly 41.4% of sales are being donated to the staff at Who’s on Third. Pickup is from noon to 8 p.m. and they are also selling brats, chips and six-packs of Miller Lite, Miller High Life and PBR. 

12. Participate in 414 Day Yoga

Healium Yoga is opening three online classes in honor of 414 Day. Proceeds from the classes will go to Sojourner Family Peace Center. 

13. Check Out the Historic Milwaukee Poster Sale

Historic Milwaukee is selling their poster archives. All Milwaukee neighborhood posters are priced at $4.14. There will also be other 414-related deals.
