There’s a lot happening on the most Milwaukee day of the year!

1. Rally for the Brewers Home Opener

The stars have aligned, and the 2022 Brewers home opener falls on 414 Day at 4:14 p.m. Gear up in your best blue and yellow to earn some free stuff around town on opening day, and catch the Brewers Eve Bash at Leff’s Lucky Town the night before.

2. Party at the Cooperage

Group of the Altos – one of Milwaukee’s most beloved bands – is headlining along with You Win!!!, Gold Steps and The Andys (Andy Silverman and Andy Menchal). That’s a stacked lineup of MKE talent. The Cooperage coins the event as “the greatest party to celebrate the greatest day in the greatest city on Earth.” 

3. Grab a Free Cookie

The UW Credit Union will give away free sugar cookies to anyone who visits a Milwaukee-area branch. Local branches include Wauwatosa, Mayfair, Franklin, UW-Milwaukee, Bayshore and more. The cookies are from a local, woman-owned and family operated business.

4. Go on a Brewery Tour

Sprecher Brewery is central to the local community, and this Milwaukee Day they will offer $4.14 brewery tours. The tour is 45 minutes long and will take you through the history of the brewhouse and what it takes to make their craft beers and sodas.

5. Check Out the Harley Davidson Museum

The Harley Davidson Museum will offer tickets for $4.14 to cruise around and learn the history behind their bikes. Just don’t forget to order tickets in advance to get the special price! There will also be deals at the Motor Bar & Restaurant and in The Shop.

6. Subscribe to Milwaukee Magazine for $4.14

Celebrate all our city has to offer with a year-long subscription to Milwaukee Magazine. At $4.14 for 12 issues, this one-day-only sale is the best deal we offer all year.

7. Catch Some Concerts at the Cactus Club

The Cactus Club’s 414 Day party is a celebration of local music. The show will include performances from Klassik, Diet Lite, West Nile Crows, Funk Summit Bass Team and Dora Diamond

8. Support a Local Fundraiser

A great way to celebrate the community is to invest in it, especially if you can’t go out for Milwaukee Day. The Milwaukee Day organizers have identified organizations like Interchange Food Pantry, United Way Urgent Needs Fund, Boys & Girls Club of Greater MKE and Imagine MKE Artist Relief Fund.

9. Go Shopping in East Town

Historic Milwaukee will host a three-day sale with exclusive discounts, new products and, of course, $4.14 neighborhood posters. There will also be a food drive for Friedens Food Pantry, which serves free food and personal care items to over 800 households in the greater Milwaukee area.

10. Try Company Brewing’s Milwaukee Day Lager

In 2018, Company Brewing launched the Milwaukee Day Lager with 4.14% ABV only available only on April 14. Now, due to high demand, the beer is a year-round offering with a new name – the Milwaukee-Style Lager. This refreshing tallboy has unique packaging that was designed to represent all the people that make Milwaukee great.

11. Grab a $4.14 Pint at GatheringPlace Brewing Company

Speaking of beer, Gathering Place Brewing Company will offer $4.14 pints of their locally brewed beer all day. They’ll also be releasing two brand new beers and hosting a makers mini market.

12. Unfinished Legacy Co.

Unfinished Legacy Co. – a brand that’s collaborated with Levis and Vogue – is hosting a 414 Day popup from 4-8 p.m. at 3728 N. Fratney St. Shop the 414 Day Capsule plus there’s a local tattoo artist on site. There will also be an after party with live performances from local musicians. Or shop the release online

13. Dance Like it’s the 90’s

Anodyne Coffee Roasting Co. will celebrate Milwaukee’s musical history by hosting local alternative band Landline playing everything from Weezer to Pearl Jam. As a special for 414 Day, Landline will play hits from everyone’s favorite Milwaukee 90’s bands including the Gufs, BoDeans and Citizen King.

14. Attend the Opening of Villa Terrace’s Newest Exhibition

Did you ever wonder who designed some of our most beautiful city parks? In Villa Terrace’s newest exhibition, “In the Park with Olmsted – A Vision For Milwaukee” you will learn just that. Fredrick Law Olmsted designed the most beautiful parks in the country, from Central Park in NYC to our very own Lake Park on the water. Villa Terrace will offer hors d’oeuvres, wine and a cash bar at the opening.

15. Soak Up Some Sun at the Schlitz Park 414 Day Party

Grab some lunch from Roll MKE and play yard games with The Tap Yard at the Schlitz Park 414 Day riverwalk party. The event is open to the public, and you might even catch a sneak peak of the area’s new beer garden opening in May.

16. Celebrate Local Music

Milwaukee Record and Company Brewing are coming together for a Milwaukee Day Showcase to ring in the best day of the year. The all-star lineup includes Fox Face, Shle Berry and Devils Teeth. Grab your tickets in advance for a special price.

17. Support Local Artists

Wantable Cafe is celebrating local artists on 414 Day with live painting, local art vendors and an assortment of artists in action. Tickets are free, but don’t forget to RSVP online
