Nerd-O-Ween, ‘Coco’ in concert and more are coming up.

1. Casanova 

ALL WEEKEND | MARCUS PERFORMING ARTS CENTER

The season opener for the Milwaukee Ballet is a show from award-winning choreographer Kenneth Tindall that follows a priest turned scandalous socialite. The ballet runs this weekend only. Get tickets here

2. There Will Be Blood

FRIDAY FROM NOON-5 P.M. | CACTUS CLUB

Cactus Club is hosting a blood drive alongside a live concert by the band Blood. The concert is open to all that attend the event and donate. Reservations for the drive can be made here.

3. Diwali Celebration and Sound Bath

FRIDAY FROM 6-8:30 P.M. | 2518 N. DOUSMAN ST. 

This event is all about balance – first, celebrate Diwali and connect with others, then follow it up with a relaxing sound bath session. Tickets can be bought here.

4. Vampire Ball

FRIDAY AT 7:30 P.M. | THE COOPERAGE

Channel your inner vampire at this masquerade ball at The Cooperage. There will be live music by local quartet Strings For All and Red Rum. Plus, there’s a fashion show and a drag performance from COVEN, Milwaukee’s longest running alternative drag show. Tickets can be bought here.

5. Dia de Los Muertos at Crossroads Collective 

FRIDAY AT 8 P.M. | CROSSROADS COLLECTIVE

Crossroads Collective is celebrating Día de los Muertos and Milwaukee diverse music group Non-Pop’s sixth anniversary at Ivanhoe Plaza on Friday. Five DJs will be playing music throughout the night, and there will be canvas painting and face painting by local artists. 

6. Houndmouth 

FRIDAY AT 8 P.M. | PABST THEATER

Nationally acclaimed alternative indie band Houndmouth is coming to the Pabst Theater. Tickets can be bought here.

7. Dia de Los Muertos at Villa Terrace 

SATURDAY FROM 10 A.M.-1 P.M. | VILLA TERRACE

The Dia de los Muertos event at Villa Terrace will have traditional Aztec dancing, food trucks and a performance from mother-daughter duo catrina dancers. Get tickets here.

8. 88Nine State of Sound

SATURDAY FROM 6-9:30 P.M. | DISCOURSE COFFEE

Catch 88Nine’s concert series this month, featuring Bear in the Forest, Dark Psychic, Ellie Jackson and Rat Bath. The show starts at 6:30 p.m. and tickets are on sale now.

9. Uncorked Wine Festival 

SATURDAY FROM 7-11 P.M. | HARLEY DAVIDSON MUSEUM

The Uncorked wine festival is coming to the Harley Davidson Museum. Attendees can sample over 100 different kinds of wine and other fruity beverages, while walking around the museum. Tickets are available online.

10. Nerd-O-Ween 

SATURDAY AT 7 P.M. | TURNER HALL

The Threepios and The Shake Ups will be performing at Nerd-O-Ween, hosted by Awkward Nerd Events. Plus, there will be drinks, video games and more. Those who dress up can enter a costume contest with the chance to win $300. Get tickets here.

11. Coco In Concert 

SATURDAY AND SUNDAY | BRADLEY SYMPHONY CENTER

See Disney’s Coco in concert with a screening of the movie backed by the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. The event will have food and beverages available to patrons who arrive 90 minutes before the screening. Tickets can be bought here.

12. Grace Fine Art Festival 

SUNDAY FROM 9 A.M.-1 P.M. | GRACE CENTER 

The Grace Fine Art Festival will offer a variety of artwork, from paintings to gourmet chocolates, from local artists. Grace Place Coffee will also be open during the event for patrons. More information can be found here.
