The Wilde Subaru Family Kite Festival
Here’s hoping for a windy weekend! The Family Kite Festival returns to Veterans Park on Saturday, May 27 and Sunday, May 28. You don’t want to miss the Fast Track Grand Launch of more than 600 kites. The first 100 kids who participate in the Kaplin University “KIDS MAD DASH” will receive a free kite that can be flown after. The kite-flying action begins at 10 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.
Milwaukee’s 152nd Memorial Day Parade
There’s no better way to celebrate Memorial Day than at Milwaukee’s 152nd Memorial Day Parade on Sunday May 28 at 2 p.m. The parade begins at N. 4th St. and W. Wisconsin Ave and moves east towards the War Memorial Center, 750 N. Lincoln Memorial Drive. Pull out your lawn chairs and settle in for the festivities while honoring our veterans.
Tosa Farmers Market Sneak Peek
No need to wait until June 3 to head to the Tosa Farmers Market. This Saturday, May 27, they are hosting a sneak peak of the farmers markets to come later this summer. This bonus date will take place on State Street from 8 a.m. to noon and feature local favorites. We suggest you head to the market as early as possible to get the best selection of fresh fruits and veggies.

Celebrate Memorial Day Weekend at the annual “Summer Untapped at The Micro.” This beer garden returns to The Micro Craft Beer Pavilion at Wisconsin State Fair Park from Friday May 26 to Sunday May 28. Welcome the start of summer with a trip to this craft beer event. Over 60 flavors from 30 different Wisconsin Breweries will be on tap from 5 to 11 p.m. on Friday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Happy beer tasting!

Calling all Bachelorette fans! Luke Pell (from season 12 of “The Bachelorette”) will be performing on Saturday, May 27, at Bootz Saloon & Grill Block Party in Oak Creek. The rising country artist will be celebrating Memorial Day and sharing his latest singles, “Pretty Close” and “Best Thing You’ve Ever Done.”
Bob Dylan 76th Birthday Tribute
Bob Dylan’s classic album, “Blonde on Blonde” will be performed by an array of musicians this Saturday, May 27, at 8:30 p.m. at Linneman’s Riverwest Inn. The performance pays tribute to Bob Dylan’s 76th birthday and all proceeds from the event go to the Alzheimer’s Association. Tickets can be purchased for $7.

Let’s go to the beach, beach. On Sunday, May 28, Bradford Beach is officially kicking off summer with their Beach Bash. Beginning at 11 a.m., there will be a DJ, giveaways and hopefully some sun! Take a break from the festivities and fill up on a free HCF burger with any liquor purchase from 1-2 p.m.

Julianne Hough and Derek Hough: Move – Beyond
Dynamic siblings Julianne and Derek Hough bring their electric dance show to the Riverside Theater on Saturday, May 27. Best known for ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, the Houghs will bring something for every dance-enthusiast in the crowd. Their dance repertoire ranges from salsa to hip-hop and everything in between. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the Houghs will have you moving and grooving all night, so don’t forget your dance shoes.

Celebrate all things Milwaukee this Friday, May 25. The Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum opens its doors for its third annual So Milwaukee Night. Listen to Milwaukee musicians while admiring Milwaukee art and sampling Milwaukee food. Really. Its SO Milwaukee. Doors to the event open at 6 p.m. and admission is $15 and $10 for members. Proceeds from the event go towards helping preserve the Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum.

Coast Guard Foundation Run to Remember
Join a worldwide movement to honor Coast Guard heroes who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service for their country. Both kids and adults can participate in the run on Saturday, May 27 at Estabrook Park. The kids 1K starts at 7:45 a.m. and the adult 5K/10K begins at 8 a.m. Support the Coast Guard Foundation and get a great workout in. Registration is still open online.
