10 Things to Do in Milwaukee This Weekend: March 31-Apr. 2

A lot is happening this weekend, including Milwaukee Blues Festival, Riverwest Radio Spring Ball and Tiki Takedown.

1. Midwest Gaming Classic

ALL WEEKEND | WISCONSIN CENTER

Browse vintage collectibles, compete in tournaments and learn from industry professionals at the largest all-encompassing gaming trade show in the Midwest. 2. Riverwest Radio Spring Ball

FRIDAY AT 7 P.M. | FALCON BOWL

3. Brahms v. Radiohead

FRIDAY AND SATURDAY AT 7:30 P.M. | BRADLEY SYMPHONY CENTER

Acclaimed conductor Steve Hackman will bring an unusual genre mash-up to the Bradley Symphony Center for two nights. The full force of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra will be on display when they fuse Brahms’s First Symphony with Radiohead’s iconic album OK Computer. Get tickets online.

4. Milwaukee Blues Festival

FRIDAY AT 8 P.M. | MILLER HIGH LIFE THEATRE

The blues are back! The 10th annual Milwaukee Blues Festival returns to the Miller High Life Theatre this weekend with a stacked lineup of blues artists old and new. 5. Terrible, Thanks For Asking

FRIDAY AT 8 P.M. | TURNER HALL

How are you? Author and grief expert Nora McInerny would like to know. She’s stopping at Turner Hall for a live performance of her award-winning podcast that asks real people to be honest about how they’re doing. 6. Breakfast With the Bunny

SATURDAY FROM 8-11 A.M. | DOMINICAN HIGH SCHOOL

Welcome spring and support Kiwanis youth charities at this pancake breakfast with the Easter Bunny. Children under 2 eat free with face painting, photo opportunities and a silent auction. More information is available online.

7. Dangerous Folk Anniversary Concert

SATURDAY AT 7:30 P.M. | THE COFFEE HOUSE

Milwaukee folk band Dangerous Folk will celebrate 20 years of music this weekend with original members Cap Lee, Julie Thompson and David HB Drake. The sing-along concert will feature their extensive repertoire of folk songs including that of Joni Mitchell, Pete Seeger and John Denver. More information is available on the Facebook event page.

8. April Fool’s Comedy & Magic Show

SATURDAY AT 7 P.M. & 9 P.M. | BRUMDER MANSION

Join Milwaukee-born duo Chad and Jeff Orr, aka Two Brothers One Mind from “America’s Got Talent,” for an April Fool’s night of laughs and magic. Tours of the mansion are available for guests 30 minutes before the show. 

9. Tiki Takedown

SUNDAY AT 1 P.M. | TURNER HALL

Pretend you’re in paradise this Sunday with an afternoon of tropical drink sampling. Over 10 local establishments will showcase their cocktails for guests to taste and vote for. Plan for plenty of excitement including food, a live DJ and opportunities to win prizes. Get tickets online.

10. MKE Music Night

SUNDAY AT 6 P.M. | ANODYNE COFFEE ROASTING CO.
