10 Things to Do in Milwaukee This Weekend: Dec. 2-4

Santa Cycle Rampage, Paperjam holiday market and more are happening this weekend!

1. Holiday Lites

ALL WEEKEND | FREDERICKS MILLER’S PLANK ROAD BREWERY 

Miller Brewing Company’s Holiday Lites drive up light display is back this Friday! Drive on over and tune in to 91.1 FM to enjoy the lights and music of the 5 minute show from the warmth of your car.

2. Elf the Musical

ALL WEEKEND | ELM GROVE

The beloved family Christmas comedy is at the Sunset Play House starting this weekend. Spread some Christmas cheer by singing loud for all to hear at the musical performance. Tickets can be purchased online.

3. Mistletoe Market Craft & Art Fair 

FRIDAY AND SATURDAY FROM 10 A.M.-4 P.M. | WAUKESHA

Featuring over 100 local vendors, check out the Mistletoe Market Craft & Art Fair to get some holiday shopping done. All items are handmade, ranging from dog treats to clothing and jewelry. Admission is $3 and children are free. 

4. Christmas in the Ward

FRIDAY FROM 5:30-8:30 P.M. | THE HISTORIC THIRD WARD 

This Friday is the annual Christmas in the Ward, featuring the annual tree lighting ceremony and performances from the Milwaukee Police Band, Skylight Music Theatre, the Don Linke Trio and the Bach Chamber Choir. Santa will also make an appearance – and, of course, his reindeer will be there too! 

5. Santa Cycle Rampage

SATURDAY 9:30 A.M.-NOON | 187 E. BECHER ST.

Milwaukee’s Santa Cycle Rampage is the world’s largest holiday-themed costume group bicycle for charity. Hundreds of Santa Clauses will be coming to town to participate, and all proceeds will go to the Wisconsin Bike Federation. The ride is slow route style, police escorted and has a 12-mile looped route.  

6. Paperjam

SATURDAY 10 A.M.-6 P.M. | 347 E. WARD ST. 

The Bindery is hosting a new holiday marketplace, Paperjam, this Saturday for lovers of books and all things print and paper. Local businesses, artists and organizations including Bay View Printing Co., bearbear, Lion’s Tooth, Voyageur Bookshop, Rooted MKE, Womanist Press and more will be in attendance. 

7. Urban Ecology Clothing Swap

SATURDAY AT 11 A.M. | URBAN ECOLOGY CENTER

Shop for the holidays (or for yourself!) in a unique way at Urban Ecology’s Riverside Park location’s clothing swap. Bring old garments and trade them for other used items. You can snag new pieces for your closet while supporting sustainable fashion. 

8. Whiskey Fest Wisconsin 

SATURDAY FROM 3-9 P.M. | THE COOPERAGE

Whiskey Fest gives you the chance to not only try great liquor, but also to talk to distillers and learn about their products. The event is 21+. Tickets can be purchased online and include samples of  blended and flavored whiskeys, bourbons, ryes and more from Wisconsin distilleries. 

9. Marquette University Men’s Basketball vs. Wisconsin

SATURDAY AT 3:30 P.M. | FISERV FORUM

Catch the rivalry game of Marquette Men’s Basketball game versus University of Wisconsin Madison this Saturday at the Fiserv Forum. The team has met 124 since 1958. Tickets can be purchased here. 

10. Shorewood Winterfest

SATURDAY FROM 3:30-7 P.M. | SHOREWOOD

Shorewood’s annual Winterfest will feature a winter wonderland, a meet-and-greet with Anna, Elsa and Kristoff from Frozen, free hot cocoa, face painting, and more to celebrate the holiday season. There will be a tree lighting and a Menorah lighting. The event will also have local food vendors and live music. Admission is free.
