Your Guide to St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations

1. ShamROCK Kickoff Party

FRIDAY, MARCH 11 | MILLER TIME PUB AND GRILL

Start the festivities early and make your way to the Miller Time Pub and Grill from 5:30-11 p.m. for a free kickoff party. Musician Ian Gould is kicking off the event with live music at 5:30 p.m. along with musician Pat McCurdy closing the event starting at 8 p.m. Raffle tickets will be sold and the winners will be announced at 7:30 p.m.

2. St. Patrick’s Day Parade

SATURDAY, MARCH 12 | WEST WISCONSIN AVE AT NORTH DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING DRIVE

The St. Patrick’s Day Parade organized by the Shamrock Club of Wisconsin and Westown Association, is celebrating it’s 54th year after a two-year hiatus. The parade starts at noon beginning at West Wisconsin Avenue at North Dr. Martin Luther King Drive and ends at Water Street and Highland Avenue. Join the city of Milwaukee and celebrate with more than 120 units of Irish dancing, music, local celebrities and more in this years parade.

3. Shamrock Club Post-Parade Party

SATURDAY, MARCH 12 | IRISH CULTURAL AND HERITAGE CENTER

After the parade festivities, head over to the Irish Cultural and Heritage Center from 1-6 p.m. for a family event full of entertainment! The event will include performances from four dance schools, six bands, a super raffle and a full menu of food and beverages. Find the lineup and more information here.

4. St. Paddy’s Celebration

SATURDAY, MARCH 12 | RED LION PUB

Red Lion Pub is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day early this year  with an “Irish-inspired menu” for lunch and brunch, along with all-day drink specials including $3 miller light drafts, $5 Guinness, $5 Irish bombs and more. Stop by for the footy and rugby games as well which will be showing in the morning.

5.  Lucky Leprechaun 7K

SATURDAY, MARCH 12 | HART PARK, WAUWATOSA

Walk, run or participate virtually in Wauwatosa’s 10th annual Lucky Leprechaun 7K. Starting at 10 a.m. with packet pick-up prior to the event, the route begins and ends in Hart Park. Tickets prices for the event are currently $44.99 and will increase after March 11. Registration includes a race t-shirt, a bottle opener medal, green party beads, two free miller lites or soft drink from Leff’s Lucky Town at the finish line and a post-race party with live music. Be sure to check out the event and help raise money for the MACC fund in support of finding a cure for childhood cancer and related blood disorders.

6. Luck of the Spy-Rish

SATURDAY, MARCH 12 | SAFEHOUSE

Milwaukee’s “hidden bar”, Safehouse, is offering St. Patrick’s day food and drink specials all day starting at 11 a.m. Unique food specials include Irish nachos, Rueben rolls, corned beef hash tacos, beer cheese soup and cheese curds. Stop by this free event all day, and stay for the CODE RED night club party starting at 10 p.m.

7. Kiss Me I’m Irish Bar Crawl

SATURDAY, MARCH 12 AND THURSDAY, MARCH 17 | MULTIPLE LOCATIONS

This two-day bar crawl will get you into participating bars with a free cover charge and drink specials all night! Buy tickets for one or both days on March 12 from 4 p.m.-2 a.m. and March 17 from 6-11 p.m. Check in is located at Rock Bottom Brewery for both days, and be sure to check out the event page as each bar has different participating hours

 8. An Irish Salute: Milwaukee Concert Band March Concert

SUNDAY, MARCH 13 | OAK CREEK COMMUNITY CENTER

Join the Milwaukee Concert Band for their performance entitled Irish Salute, paying tribute to the Emerald Isle! Directed by Paul Corrao, the concert starts at 2 p.m. at the Oak Creek Community Center. The concert is free, and donations are welcomed.

9. Kill The Keg Pub Crawl

THURSDAY, MARCH 17 | EXPLORIUM BREWPUB THIRD WARD 

Explorium Brewpub in the third ward is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with a “kill the keg” pub crawl! Tickets are $30 and sales end on March 16, so be sure to grab yours now! Your ticket includes a long sleeved t-shirt, one beer at Explorium Brewpub and beer at each of their four participating bar stops. Find ticket and itinerary information here.

10. Paddy’s Day Paint

THURSDAY, MARCH 17 | URBAN ECOLOGY CENTER

This family friendly event is offering St. Patrick’s Day themed watercolor paint from 4-6 p.m. And while you are diving into your creative skills, make a vegan friendly mint shake, inspired by the famous shamrock shake. Tickets are $9 or $14 for children and adults, you choose the right price for you. Children under age three are free, and members receive 20% off. Registration for the event is required.

11. St. Patrick’s Day Indoor Bike Night

THURSDAY, MARCH 17 | MOTOR® BAR & RESTAURANT

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with live music by LIL REV & WILL BRANCH duo featuring some traditional Irish music. Raffles, food and drink specials will be running all night long from 5-9 p.m.

12. St. Patrick’s Day Mixology Workshop

THURSDAY, MARCH 17 | SIP MKE

Join SIP MKE to make six different St. Patrick’s Day inspired drinks. Tickets cost $30 and give participants the opportunity to watch live demonstrations, sample each cocktail and then make their own! Cocktails include a Kinky Green Mule, Irish Mule, Shanky’s Irish coffee, Whistler Irish Triple, Five Farms White Irishman and Shamrock shots. Registration for the event is required.

13. Staci Joers Demonstration

TUESDAY, MARCH 22 | MILWAUKEE PUBLIC MARKET

Head to the Milwaukee Public Market for a post St. Patrick’s Day evening of Irish culinary history. The event begins at 5:30 p.m. and tickets cost $35. You’ll have the chance to sample traditional Irish dishes and different recipes. Dishes include Staci’s version of Corned Beef & Cabbage, Butter Braised Carrots, Potatoes Colcannon and Guinness Cupcakes.
