3 New Things Coming to Milwaukee in July 2024

A plant collective, debut album and follow-up novel hit shelves this month.

1. Indigo Plant Collective

After launching online last year, this plant shop has now taken root in a Walker’s Point storefront. Find greenery, pots, propagation tools and a retro-inspired mural by local designer Whitney Nettles.

It’s time to pick your Milwaukee favorites for the year!

2. Exitstatements

Milwaukee music mainstays Kevin DeMars, Owen Stefaniak and Scott LaShay have teamed up to play expansive post-punk as Exitstatements. Their self-titled debut album is out now.

3. Familiaris

In 2008, Oconomowoc-born author David Wroblewski released his best-selling novel The Story of Edgar Sawtelle. Sixteen years later, he’s written a follow-up, which released last month and tells the origins of the Wisconsin dog-breeding family.
