Twisted Dreams Film Festival to Spook Milwaukee This Weekend

Get your pre-Halloween horror-film fix this weekend at Twisted Dreams Film Festival.

Horror film fans, rejoice! The second-annual Milwaukee Twisted Dreams Film Festival will celebrate all things frightening with a weekend of independent horror films and documentaries at Underground Collaborative (161 W. Wisconsin Ave.) in the lower level of the Shops of Grand Avenue.

The festival will kick off Friday at 6:30 p.m. with a selection of short films from Wisconsin, followed by an opening night party at 42 Lounge (326 E. Mason St.), where you can catch a special performance from members of Dead Man’s Carnival.

Some highlights from the rest of the weekend’s lineup include a variety of short animated horror films in a collection dubbed “Liquid Dreams: Not Your Father’s Saturday Morning Cartoons,” a documentary that explores the fascination with serial killers, creepy short films from around the world, and Wisconsin-made feature film “This Woods Is Cursed.”

Tickets are $10 for individual screenings, $50 for all Saturday screenings, $30 for all Sunday screenings and $75 for the entire weekend.
