Beer, jewelry, something for the kids and a lot more. Once again, Milwaukee has a busy, busy weekend.
While many of us think that our favorite beer goes with our favorite food, maybe it’s time to explore our taste buds a little. Join Miller Time Pub and Lakefront Brewery for a Beer Dinner on Sunday, Feb. 10, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Miller Time Pub and Grill (509 West Wisconsin Ave.). The dinner includes a 5-course meal prepared by Chef Chris Julga that perfectly pairs with each Lakefront Beer. Lakefront Co-founder Jim Klisch will even be there to sip and taste as well. Tickets are $70 and can be purchased online.
Looking for an excuse to grab another pint? Gathering Place Brewing Company (811 E. Vienna Ave.) begins its $1 For Milwaukee program on Thursday, Feb. 7, at 3 p.m. The Riverwest brewery decided to give back to its community by donating $1 for each beer priced at $6 or more to a different non-profit each week. This week, they are partnering with Public Allies Milwaukee, a national organization that has empowered thousands underrepresented young leaders since 1992.
Name something Wisconsinites love more than cheese and beer. We’ll wait. The Wisconsin Cheese Mart and Uber Tap Room (1048 North Old World 3rd St.) hosts a Grilled Cheese and Beer Tasting on Thursday, Feb. 7, starting at 6:30 p.m. Before the night ends, you are bound to be a grilled cheese and beer expert, as there will be four beers paired with four grilled cheeses. Tickets are $20 and there will even be cheese prizes.
The kids deserve some fun this weekend too, right? The first Milwaukee Kids Expo will be fun for the whole family on Feb. 9 and 10, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Wisconsin State Fair Park (640 S 84th St.). The Expo will include fun Play Zones for the kids (even a petting zoo), a Main Stage with shows, and a hall full of child-related vendors and businesses. Fun for you and the kids.

The fifth annual pep rally starts off the fun on Friday, Feb. 8, at Parking Lot D where former Bachelorette and MU Law alum Rachel Lindsay will emcee. There are six different games to attend, but the MU vs. Villanova men’s basketball game will definitely be a hot commodity.
