Adult-only 90’s trivia, roller derby and a chili cook off.
Head down to Discovery World (500 N. Harbor Dr.) for an adult-only 90s trivia night. On Thursday, Feb. 8, prove your knowledge about the 1990s, explore the Aquatarium and create some 90s-themed crafts in the Kohl’s Design It! Lab throughout the night. Special prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place.
On Thursday, Feb. 8, catch a film screening at the Urban Ecology Center (1859 N. 40th St.) of An American Ascent. The documentary discusses the often ignored issues regarding race and the outdoors. Refreshments will be served and the event is free with a suggested $3 donation.
On Friday, Feb. 9 – Sunday, Feb. 11, the West Performing Arts Center in New Belin will present the Tony award winning musical, Guys and Dolls. Show times are Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.
The Brew City Bruisers travel team will host a triple header on Saturday, Feb. 10 at Wisconsin State Fair Park (640 S. 84th St. West Allis) Register early and save $3 on tickets.
The Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra will perform at the Shattuck Music Center Auditorium (218 N. East Ave., Waukesha) on Saturday, Feb. 10. The cost for adults is $12 and the cost for students and seniors is $10.
Lakefront Brewery (1872 N Commerce St) will host 15 award winning chili cook off teams to participate in a delicious competition on Sunday, Feb. 11. The event will also include live music, a silent auction and celebrity judges. The tasting begins at 1 p.m. and the winner will be announced at 4:30 p.m.
