1. Summerfest Weekend One

THURSDAY, FRIDAY AND SATURDAY | SUMMERFEST GROUNDS

The world’s largest music festival kicks off weekend one this weekend with headliner Def Leppard. The festival kicks off on Juneteenth (June 19) with a celebration beginning at 6 p.m. Going beyond the music, there is a large selection of food and drinks (hello Saz’s sampler platter!), immersive experiences like the new FuzzPop Workshop installation “Astral Relics of the Great Northwoods,” and more to explore. 2. Wild Ones Vintage Motorcycle Rally 

SATURDAY FROM 10 A.M.-5 P.M. | HARLEY-DAVIDSON MUSEUM

Harley-Davidson is celebrating its motorcycle heritage with a vintage rally at the H-D museum. This event features an antique motorcycle ride-in show hosted by the AMCA Bader Heritage Chapter. Plus, enjoy live music, food, drinks and more fun with fellow motorcycle lovers. Every dollar made through the rally will be donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Wisconsin.

3. The Bloody Mary Festival 

SATURDAY FROM 10:30 A.M.-6 P.M. | HARLEY-DAVIDSON MUSEUM

The hosts of the Bloody Mary Festival have searched far and wide for the best Bloody Marys in Wisconsin, and you get to try them at the festival. A ticket includes unlimited glasses of the 10+ Bloody Marys in Wisconsin made by bars, restaurants and craft bottle mixes. A full list of the line up is available online and tickets are $35.58 each.

4. Wisconsin’s Circus History with Peter Shrake 

THURSDAY AT 6 P.M. | GRAFTON HISTORICAL SOCIETY

In the mood to learn something new? The Wisconsin Historical Society hosts a speaker series that invites historians, curators and authors to share the history of Wisconsin. This weekend, Peter Shrake is giving an in-depth presentation of Wisconsin’s circus history and the over 100 circuses that have started here. This event is free and open to the public.

5. Annual MCM Mod Mixer 

THURSDAY FROM 5:30-8:30 P.M. | DANDY

Midcentury-modern lovers, this one’s for you. Docomomo Wisconsin’s annual mid-century modern mixer will have signature mocktails and drinks, mingling, trivia and more in Dandy’s beautiful event space. Retro inspired dress is encouraged, and all are welcome. Get tickets here.

6. Three Day Rummage Sale 

THURSDAY AND FRIDAY FROM 9 A.M.-6 P.M., SATURDAY FROM 9 A.M.-4 P.M. | OAK CREEK AMERICAN LEGION POST

Second Hand Purrs of Milwaukee is hosting its biggest fundraiser of the year: a massive three day rummage sale with “everything from A to Z.” This event will happen rain or shine inside the Oak Creek American Legion Post. Proceeds will go to supporting the kittens in the shelter.

7. Solstice Stylings 

FRIDAY FROM 8-10:30 P.M. | BAR CENTRO

Anthony Deutsch, Sam Neufeld and Jon Harris Jr. are playing at Bar Centro to celebrate the Summer Solstice. Located in an intimate venue, the music will be ambient, dreamy and filled with organic rhythms. Tickets are available here.

8. Summer Solstice Soiree 

FRIDAY FROM 5:30-8:30 P.M. | URBAN ECOLOGY CENTER

The Urban Ecology Center is hosting its 19th annual Summer Solstice Soiree to celebrate the longest day of the year and help raise funds for the center. This event, hosted in the new Prairie Springs on the Park event hall, is catered by Wisconsin’s only green caterer, Brazen Standard Hospitality. Registration for this event is open online here.

9. Solstice Potluck: Lunch and Learn with Regenerate MKE 

FRIDAY FROM NOON-3 P.M. | REGENERATE MKE @ HISTORICAL BAY VIEW

Dr. Karen Lemke is hosting a potluck at Regenerate MKE, gathering women landowners, growers and conservation professionals for conversation and connection. This event is free to attend, and registration online is required for the head count. All guests must bring their own chair and a dish or beverage to share.

10. Great Midwest Book Fest 

SATURDAY FROM 1-4 P.M. | XCHANGE EVENT & CREATIVE SPACE

The three hour book fair is open to the public with a $10 admission. This year’s event features local and Midwestern African-American authors selling their books across all different genres. Also find book vendors, giveaways and more. Get tickets here.

11. MKE Cake Potluck 

SATURDAY FROM NOON-3 P.M. | STORY HILL FIREHOUSE

Story Hill Firehouse is hosting Milwaukee’s first ever cake potluck. Bring a homemade (or store-bought) cake to share and try all the other attendees’ cakes as well. The event is family-friendly, but all attendees must bring a cake, even the wee ones! Tickets are available here

12. 5K Beer and Run

SATURDAY FROM 11 A.M.-1 P.M. | NORTH PILLAR BREWING CO.

Head out to Waukesha for a 5K that ends with a pint of craft beer at North Pillar Brewing Company’s taproom. Crossing the finish line gets you a free pint, a collector’s pint glass and a chance to win prizes. Find race information and registration here

13. Pay-What-You-Can Queer Pride Yoga 

SATURDAY FROM 10-11 A.M. | CENTRAL WATERS BREWING

Central Waters Brewing is hosting a morning of self-acceptance and inclusivity to celebrate Pride Month. Brittany, the instructor, is a disabled, queer yoga teacher striving to make yoga accessible for everybody and every body. While this event is pay-what-you-can, a donation of $10 will get participants one free drink token. All guests must bring their own mat, towel or blanket to practice on.

14. The Official Pride Bar Crawl 

SATURDAY FROM 4 P.M.-MIDNIGHT | D.I.X MILWAUKEE

The Pride Bar Crawl takes guests through Milwaukee’s most inclusive bars. A ticket purchase will get participants two or three drinks or shots, no cover charge at any bar, freebies, pride merch and more. This year’s crawl includes a mid and after party to keep the party going. Tickets are available for purchase online.

15. Thorgy Thor & the Thorchestra 

SATURDAY AT 7:30 P.M. | BRADLEY SYMPHONY CENTER 

Ru Paul’s Drag Race star Thorgy Thor is making a stop in Milwaukee this weekend. Created in collaboration with conductor Daniel Bartholomew-Poyser, Thor mixes contemporary pop, modern classical and a traditional classical to create a one of a kind sound with the Thorchestra. The show is in partnership with Edessa School of Fashion. Tickets are available online.

16. Pride Drag Brunch with Vanessa Mateo

SUNDAY AT 2 P.M. | MILWAUKEE IMPROV

Vanessa Meteo, also from Ru Paul’s Drag Race, is hosting a drag brunch at Milwaukee Improv to celebrate Pride Month. The dress code is “feel fabulous.” Tickets are available online, and the venue has a two-item minimum purchase rule for all guests.

17. Indie Fashion Show Milwaukee 

SUNDAY FROM 4-9 P.M. | SOUTH SECOND

Indie Fashion, the largest independent fashion show in the US, is making a stop in Milwaukee this weekend. Showcasing emerging designers, models and creatives, the annual tour offers opportunities for exposure and career development. The show is committed to innovation, inclusivity and artistic freedom.
