1. Wisconsin State Fair

ALL WEEKEND | WISCONSIN STATE FAIR PARK 

The Wisconsin State Fair is back! Celebrate 173 years of Wisconsin tradition with pig races, live music and plenty of cream puffs. The State Fair offers entertainment for the whole family, including SpinCity slides, games and other attractions. Check out the fair’s ticket deals here.

2. Ozaukee County Fair

ALL WEEKEND | CEDARBURG

Ozaukee County Fair is a weekend packed with livestock contests, demolition derbies, tractor pulls and more. Admission is free and food and drinks are available for sale.

3. John Fogerty: The Celebration Tour

FRIDAY AT 7 P.M. | AMERICAN FAMILY INSURANCE AMPHITHEATER 

Singer/songwriter and guitarist of Creedence Clearwater Revival John Fogerty is performing this Friday at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater. The setlist will include both CCR classics and Fogerty’s originals. Tickets are available online now. 

4. Hobo Johnson and the Lovemakers

FRIDAY AT 8 P.M. | THE RAVE 

Vocalist Hobo Johnson and his band The Lovemakers are performing at the Rave this Friday. The indie artist’s NPR Tiny Desk session went viral in 2018 for his blend of spoken word poetry, rap and funk sounds. General Admission tickets are on sale now. 

5. Free Range Art Show

SATURDAY-SUNDAY FROM 10 A.M.-4 P.M. | FREE RANGE ART FARM

Explore the Free Range Art Show this Saturday and Sunday, which features works from nine different Wisconsin artists. Visitors can check out jewelry, pottery, woodwork and more while they walk around the unique farm setting at this free event. 

6. Firefly Art Fair

SATURDAY-SUNDAY AT 10 A.M. | WAUWATOSA HISTORICAL SOCIETY

The 38th annual Firefly Art Fair is welcoming 64 artisans to the Wauwatosa Historical Society gardens. Food and drink from Kegel’s Inn will be for sale. Learn the art of floral design from an expert from Aromatic Acres on Sunday during the Firefly in Bloom class at 10 a.m. on Sunday. Space for the floral design class is limited. Live music, a silent auction and more events will take place over the weekend. 

7. Back to School and Beach Bash Pop-Up Photo Shoot

SATURDAY FROM 11 A.M.-2 P.M. | THINK PAWSITIVE DOG TRAINING LLC. 

Say cheese! Think Pawsitive Dog Training is hosting a photo-shoot pop-up for your four-legged friends to celebrate the end of summer. The event will feature a beach-themed set and props. Photo sessions will be hosted in a private room with a professional dog photographer. Ticket prices vary by the amount of dogs in your party. Pre-registration is required.

8. Sprecher Root Beer Bash

SATURDAY FROM 11 A.M.-3 P.M. | BAYSHORE

The world’s largest Root Beer Float Festival is happening at Bayshore mall this Saturday. The free festival will have family-friendly activities including face painting, a petting zoo and free root beer floats! Live music and food vendors will be there too. 

9. Black Arts Fest

SATURDAY AT NOON | HENRY MAIER FESTIVAL PARK

This annual arts festival celebrates African heritage and cultural arts with activities for all ages. Experience live music, poetry, art and more at the Summerfest grounds this Saturday. Tickets start at $12 and are available online now.

10. Weird Fest 2024

SATURDAY FROM NOON-7:30 P.M. | MOBCRAFT BEER

Weird things are happening in Walker’s Point this Saturday … MobCraft Beer is celebrating its 11th anniversary with limited-edition beers and food. There will be plenty of wacky entertainment, including live music, a performance from Wisconsin’s premiere professional mermaid entertainer and six Mondo Lucha wrestling matches. The shenanigans end at 7:30 p.m., but the tap house will stay open until 11. Costumes are highly encouraged but not required. 

11. Dance Fest 

SATURDAY FROM 5:30-8 P.M. | MARCUS CENTER PECK PAVILION 

Dance Fest will showcase a diverse arrangement of talent, including ballet, contemporary, salsa and hip hop performances. This year, Dance Fest is hosting both local talent and premiere dance groups from across the Midwest. Free performances start at 5:30 p.m., and ticketed shows start at 6:30 p.m.

12. Barry Manilow: The Last Milwaukee Concert

SATURDAY AT 7 P.M. | FISERV FORUM

Barry Manilow is performing for the last time in Milwaukee this Saturday. Don’t miss out on this final opportunity to experience the soft rock of this musical legend. Tickets for this concert are available now. 

13. Yung Gravy

SATURDAY AT 7:30 P.M. | WISCONSIN STATE FAIR PARK

The Wisconsin State Fair presents Yung Gravy with opener Nicky Youre this Saturday. As part of his “Grits & Gravy” tour, Yung Gravy’s setlist will include his trap classics along with new country singles. Tickets are available online. 

14. Grown Up Summer Camp

SUNDAY FROM 2-7 P.M. | URBAN ECOLOGY CENTER – RIVERSIDE

Unleash your inner child with this day-long summer camp for adults at the Urban Ecology Center’s Riverside Park location. Enjoy a day of crafts and camp activities, followed by pizza and drinks from Third Space Brewing. Ticket prices vary. Level one tickets allow access to camp crafts, fire building, yoga and the after party. Other tickets include add-on activities like rock climbing and canoeing. Tickets are available online.
