The arts are continually celebrated at UW-Milwaukee’s Helene Zelazo Center for the Performing Arts. This weekend is no different as UWM Opera Theatre and Symphony Orchestra present Offenbach’s comedy La Périchole! This production will keeps the crowd laughing with memorable music and an early 1990’s Los Angeles setting. Shows run April 7 through April 8.

The kickoff event will begin at 11 a.m. at Central Library and will include readings from the book, Caribbean dances and craft activities.

This Saturday, April 8, join the St. Baldrick’s Foundation at Marquette University as they host their signature head-shaving event to raise funds and awareness for children’s cancer research. The event begins at 12 p.m., with head shaving commencing around 1 p.m. at the Evans Scholar House.
