Local Farmer Open House – Urban Ecology Center

Don’t miss this annual opportunity to talk with local farmers and hear about their growing practices. The event is Saturday, March 11, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Riverside Park Urban Ecology Center. Attendees will have the chance to attend a workshop, learn about their Community Supported Agriculture and buy lunch.

Jeremy Denk Plays Mozart – The Marcus Center for the Performing Arts

Cheer on the Milwaukee Bucks at the BMO Harris Bradley Center this weekend. Get tickets for Friday night, March 10, or Saturday night, March 11, or maybe even both! Games start at 7 p.m. and are sure to fill your Friday night with fans and fun.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade – Water and Highland

St. Patrick’s Day is upon us and with all the festivities comes the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Downtown Milwaukee. This family-friendly annual event takes place on Saturday, March 11, beginning at noon at Water and Highland. Don’t miss 140+ units, including local politicians and celebrities, floats, bagpipes and marching bands, and Irish and Celtic organizations.

Annual Dinners – The Bartolotta Restaurats

As for fine dining, Milwaukee has plenty to offer this weekend with two Bartolotta events. First, experience a taste of southern French living during the Gerard Bertrand Wine Dinner at Lake Park Bistro on Thursday, March 9. Dinner starts at 6:30 p.m., and includes five courses and four wines. Second, Mr. B’s Steakhouse is featuring an all-you-can-eat meat and sides Beefsteak dinner on Sunday, March 12 from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Peyton Clarkson and John Egan – Milwaukee’s Comedy Cafe

Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Sports Show – Wisconsin State Fair Park Exposition Center

This Wednesday through Sunday, everything outdoors will be enjoyed indoors during the five full days at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Sports Show. The best part of the event? Special admissions day on Thursday, March 9. Here’s a quick list of free admission qualifiers: All Scouts in Uniform and one leader from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.; All persons with disabilities from noon to 5 p.m.; All seniors ages 55 and up from noon to 5 p.m.; all active duty and retired Military with valid military idea from noon to 9 p.m.

Community Free Day – Milwaukee Art Museum

It’s hard to pass up a day at the Milwaukee Art Museum, especially with the word “free” connected to it. This Sunday, March 12, spend the day exploring the city’s art through paintings, sculptures, art deco, contemporary photography and so much more. Don’t forget to check out the new exhibition, “Milwaukee Collects,” to get a look at local art collections owned by Milwaukee residents.
