PrideFest 2022 Lineup Is Stacked With Performances, Happy Hours and More

The festival is back this June celebrating 25 years at the Summerfest grounds.

Milwaukee Pride announced the lineup for this year’s PrideFest, which will be returning June 2-4. Headliners include The Original Weather Girl Marsha Walsh, American Idol sensation Frenchie Davis and a stand-up comedy showcase featuring LGBT stand-up acts Cindy Foster, Sam Morrison and Marik Mavrakys.

America’s Got Talent’s Prince Poppycock, tribute shows to Lady Gaga and Adele and the Milwaukee Bucks official DJ, DJ Shawna will also be in the lineup. Fans can also expect to see diverse performances from drag performers, dancers and more throughout the five festival stages. The Stonewall Stage will feature historians, speakers, and LGBT activists.

Tune in for our next Women & Wealth webinar on Wednesday at noon. We’re talking about navigating your finances through life transitions.

“PrideFest continues to grow and evolve, year after year, and each festival season I’m reminded how Milwaukee is truly a city that supports one another and lifts communities up- it’s a city full of intentional leadership and energetic individuals that want to see growth and progress. It’s beautiful,” says Wes Shaver, President of Milwaukee Pride, Inc.

This year marks Milwaukee PrideFest’s 25th year at the Summerfest grounds and 34th anniversary, and to celebrate, Thursday night of the festival will be “Throwback Thursday,” complete with a full lineup of performances and themed acts to honor the history of PrideFest. On Thursday and Friday, guests can enjoy cocktails and beer priced as they were in 1996 with the festival’s Throwback-to-Back happy hour from open until 6 p.m.

Saturday night, MKE LGBT will partner with festival organizers to host a Pride Prom and a talk-back session with some of the performers. Guests will also be able to enjoy the PrideFest fireworks on Saturday at 9:15 p.m.

The Hoan Bridge will be illuminated in pride’s rainbow colors Thursday through Saturday. Local artist Jonathan Warobick collaborated with Light the Hoan and Milwaukee Pride to design a T-shirt for this year’s festival.

PrideFest will continue to update their website with entertainment and stage schedules as acts are announced. Tickets can be purchased online
