Private Karaoke Suites Opening Downtown | Milwaukee Magazine

Milwaukee’s Getting a New Karaoke Bar

The suites will also have trivia, bingo and, of course, a full bar.

Do you ever long for the days when you and your friends would spend Friday nights in the rec room of your parents’ house, laughing, playing games and singing along to your favorite songs?

Well, get ready to relive those halcyon days of your youth. AMPED Private Suite Karaoke, slated to open Jan. 5 in The Brewery District, offers activities certain to speak to your inner 13-year-old. Shy karaoke stars can belt out “Don’t Stop Believin’” in private rooms, free from the judging eyes (and ears) of strangers. And if singing isn’t your thing, there’s still plenty to do, including trivia, bingo and other group games. One difference from your teenage years – there’s a full bar in which you’re free to partake.

“Our customers have loved the concept of our ‘indoor tailgating,’” says Erin Hochevar, a vice president at Bars & Recreation, the local company that also owns Nine Below, AXE MKE and other activity-oriented venues. “We bring games into the room like pingpong and cornhole. We even have a giant Scrabble board.”

So gather your pals and get ready to party.
