Join the Milwaukee International Womans Day Coalition for an afternoon of connection and empowerment. MKE IWD will be welcoming Assembly Representative Francesca Hong to speak at the event. Alongside Hong, Milwaukee local Jonah Denae will perform poetic and lyrical pieces. Complimentary food and refreshments will be provided, along with local vendors and an artisan marketplace. The event is free and open to all ages!

2. Denizen MKE + Interwovxn Present an Evening in Celebration of Women
SATURDAY, MARCH 7 FROM 6 P.M. TO 10 P.M. | DENIZEN MKE
Spend the night deep in conversation or dancing the night away at the Denizen MKE and Interwovxn celebration. The event features State Representative Robyn Vining discussing women’s health and well-being in Wisconsin, followed by live music from singer-songwriter Ellie Jackson and reflections from speaker and educator Kristen Cone. Switching from conversation to celebration, DJ Dripsweat will close out the event, inviting all to the dance floor. The event is open to all and tickets are available for purchase online.
3. Earlybirds Club

Have an early night with the Vivarium at their dance party for “ladies who have sh*t to do” in the morning. Spend the night grooving to tunes from the ’80s to the early aughts. It’s more than a great night out – it’s a supportive space where kindness and good vibes are found. The event is 21+ and tickets are available online, with 10% of proceeds going towards the Milwaukee Women’s Center.
4. Women’s Day at Nashville North: Bomber and Red + Dandelion Delivery Service + Ann Marie Metz

Head to Nashville North on Brady Street to celebrate womens day early with a lineup of folk and Americana music. Celebrate the influence of women in the music industry with Bomber & Red, Dandelion Delivery Service and Milwaukee local Ann Marie Metz with a night full of great music. The event is open to all and free to attend.
5. Celebrating Women Artists
SATURDAY, MARCH 7 FROM 2 P.M. TO 3 P.M. | MILWAUKEE ART MUSEUM
Join the Milwaukee Art Museum to celebrate all the wonderful women artists who have shaped the art world and continue to do so. The tour covers works that challenge conventions and speak to the experiences of women and girls. The tour is free for members and included with museum admission for non-members.
6. Artist Showcase: Women’s History Month
SATURDAY, MARCH 7 FROM 12 P.M. TO 3 P.M. | METRO MARKET MEQUON
Join the Metro Market at their curated women’s history artist showcase featuring abstract artist Kay Complexity. Complexity will be showcasing “spectrum layered artwork” with themes of emotional capacity. Also featured at the event will be art kits, raffles, food and fun! The event is open to all and free to attend.
7. The New Fashioned: International Women’s Day Event
SUNDAY, MARCH 8 FROM 11 A.M TO 2 P.M. | THE NEW FASHIONED
Get cozy at the New Fashioned during their National Woman’s Day event. Guests can look forward to the Fireplace Lounge swap meet, crafts and shopping from local woman-owned businesses. A brunch grazing table as well as complimentary beer and cocktail samples will be available, as well as drink specials throughout the day. Tickets can be purchased online for $35 per person.
8. Milwaukee IWD March and Rally
SUNDAY, MARCH 8 FROM 1 P.M. TO 3 P.M. | KING PARK
Follow up with the MKE IWD on Mar. 8 at their rally uniting various movements for women’s liberation. The rally will aim to uplift the following demands: Bodily autonomy for all, legalization for all, U.S. out of everywhere and ending the wage gap. The event is free to attend and open to all ages. Flags and signs are encouraged, and don’t forget to wear pink!
9. Casita Prado International Women’s Day Community Gathering

Join Casita Prado to help support women who carry responsibilities, especially caregivers, mothers and those balancing a family. Attendees can expect wellness offerings, shared meals, conversation and access to community resources and vendors. The event is free to attend and open to all who need and want to support caregivers and women.
10. Red is for Woman: Paint & Sip at Zócalo Food Park!
SUNDAY, MARCH 8 FROM 5 P.M. TO 7 PM – ZÓCALO FOOD PARK
Celebrate women through art at Zócalo Food Park! Enjoy beginner-friendly, step-by-step guided painting, accompanied by strictly red wine. Vendors will also be open and selling a variety of food and drinks during the event. This event is 21+ and tickets are available for purchase online at $14 a person.
11. International Womans Day Hike
SUNDAY, MARCH 8 FROM 9 A.M. TO 12 P.M. | SCUPPERNONG TRAILHEAD S58 W35820 COUNTY RD. ZZ
Join Cadence Cycling MKE at Kettle Moraine State Forest and come together with community members for an outdoor hike. The hike will be led by Cadence’s Becky Burton, who will take hikers through prairie and forest landscapes. Hikers will join in a discussion about local ecology and women who have been important in understanding and protecting the environment. The event requires a Wisconsin state park pass or purchase of a daily park admission. Donations for the Women & Girls Fund of Waukesha County are welcome online.
