Road Rally at Fun Beer Tours Milwaukee

5 Summer Bar Crawls Worth the Trek

Raise a strong, stiff drink and toast these five summer bar crawls.

Walking 100 miles in the name of better health. Running for cream puffs at the state fair. Biking around the clock during Riverwest 24. Milwaukeeans are truly an energetic bunch. But if there’s one form of exercise we enjoy more than any other, it’s crawling. Specifically, bar crawling.

In the spirit of local spirits, we’ve rounded up a list of five pub crawls happening in and around southeastern Wisconsin this summer.

The Secret Bar Tour

Interested in being whisked away to seven surprise watering holes around Southeastern Wisconsin? Then consider booking the Secret Bar Tour’s next notoriously debauched bus trip, which departs from Downtown Milwaukee on June 24. Tickets, $32, include a free t-shirt and discounted drinks. The tour begins at 3 p.m. and ends between 10 and 11 p.m.

Road Rally Pub Crawl

Part pub crawl, part scavenger hunt, the Road Rally pits you and your friends against each other. Over the course of the event, you must follow a set of clues leading you from bar to bar while completing a variety of tasks along the way. Great for anyone with a competitive streak. Tickets start at $20. Dates and times vary.

Hair of the Dog Pub Crawl

You can drink your fill and feel good about yourself while doing it at this June 10 event, sponsored by On Angels Wings Pet Rescue. For $25, you get a t-shirt, a coozie, a raffle ticket and a warm, fuzzy feeling – from the alcohol, yes, but also from the knowledge that you’re helping a local animal shelter. 1-7 p.m.

Baraboo Brew Ha Ha

A weekend trip to Baraboo may be in order, because on Friday, June 23, dozens of local businesses offer sample brews to enthusiastic beer drinkers. Participants are given a commemorative glass, which they can refill at each new stop along the walk. Tickets are $20. 6-9 p.m.

Country Bar Crawl

Dust off your cowboy boots and buff your largest belt buckle, because this national bar crawl moseys into Appleton on August 19. You receive a mason jar large enough to quench a Paul Bunyan-sized thirst and discounted drinks at participating bars. Tickets range from $12-20. 2-10 p.m.
