Twenty years ago, Matthew Jahns, a third-generation home builder and remodeler, founded Refined Renovations. He left his job at a larger remodeling firm and set out on his own, gathering a team of like-minded individuals who believed there’s still room in the world for homes made with care and built to last.

Two decades later, his team is now an award-winning, full-service firm with expert designers and remodelers, but the ethos remains the same: homes are worth preserving for generations to come.

This year, Refined Renovations is celebrating the company’s 20th year with the launch of its own custom cabinetry company. In 2022, they debuted Refined Interiors, a firm providing interior design services and furnishings. Today, they’re able to offer everything a homeowner may need under one umbrella, and the firm handles everything from single-room remodels to full-home redesigns.

Refined Renovations’ experienced team provides concierge service to each client, guiding them through decisions to bring their vision to life.

“We’re turning the tide away from disposable design,” says Jahns. “Instead, we’re weaving together the past and present with a focus on quality workmanship and enduring materials. Our company is founded on the idea that homes are worth preserving for generations to come – our hope is that 100 years from now, people will still be admiring our craftsmanship.”
