MKR is a full-service advertising agency – one that doesn’t just focus on their brands, but on their brands’ audiences.

“Our strongest point of difference is our ability to create meaningful brand experiences for consumers,” says Chris Mortenson, chief executive officer. “When clients make an investment, they expect you to move the dial – it’s ultimately about return on investment. And the best way to do that is to focus on the needs our client brands fulfill in the lives of the people they serve.”

Founded in 1967, MKR has evolved dramatically in its 57 years in business. The agency works with a diverse range of clients across industries and fields to craft campaigns that achieve results. Their work spans traditional marketing efforts, digital-first campaigns and marketing technology tools that harness data to reach audiences.

“At our core, we do insight-driven work that is surprising – our commitment is to do work that makes you say ‘whoa,’” says Kayla Carmichael, MKR’s chief relationship officer. “We set our clients up to win, and they feel led and supported in their efforts.”

MKR has two locations, one in Milwaukee and one in Indianapolis, and the company has continued to grow and expand. Mortenson and Carmichael attribute that success largely to the quality of MKR’s team and the strength of their culture.

“We’re large and sophisticated enough to offer the best services and solutions a client could want – but at the same time, we’re small enough that each of our clients has access to our entire team,” Carmichael says.

MKR builds a relationship with each client that serves their individualized needs. “We have an exceptional, intelligent, talented team at every level of the organization,” Mortenson says. “They have the expertise, the knowledge and the drive to continue taking this company to the next level.”
