FEH Design’s history stretches back to 1898, when Andrew Foss founded the company in Minnesota.

In the 126 years since, FEH Design now has multiple locations, an expansive architecture, structural engineering and interior design team, and a large portfolio of projects across the Midwest. And last year, the architecture firm moved its Wisconsin office to Milwaukee.

“We’re really excited about our new home in Milwaukee,” says Kevin Eipperle, the firm’s president. “We’re bringing decades of experience and expertise, and we’re looking forward to learning more about the community.”

The firm specializes in public and commercial buildings. Its wide portfolio includes schools, libraries, public safety, municipalities, community centers, corporate offices and more.

“We believe in the power of design to tell stories and create communities,” says Cole Henson, principal architect. “FEH Design will bring your vision to life with our unique blend of creativity and expertise.”

FEH Design also offers a unique approach to the design process that incorporates real-time client feedback. In the firm’s Spark Session Workshops, which last one to two days, the firm’s team meets in person with a client, listens to their ideas, and drafts potential options on the spot. Clients provide immediate feedback for the architects and designers to respond to, as they draft the plans.

For public projects, such as libraries or schools, community members are welcome to participate in the session as well. By the end of the session, a definitive plan is drafted.

“Every client we work with is an opportunity to learn more about their organization, their mission, and the communities they serve,” Henson says. “Milwaukee is an exciting place to be, and we look forward to designing the future of Wisconsin’s schools, libraries, businesses and more.”
