Founded in 2012, Country Travel Discoveries handcrafts unique, off-the-beaten-path vacation experiences across the U.S. and abroad. In the 12 years since their founding, the Elm Grove-based tour planners have established themselves as an expert source for unique trips across the globe. Destinations range from near to far, including New England’s coastline, Route 66’s iconic roadway, New Zealand’s mountainous landscape, Holland’s fields of blooming tulips and more.

“Our travelers want to see iconic sights, but they also want unique experiences that only we can offer,” says Andrea Brooks, president of Country Travel Discoveries.

That means their tours include one-of-a-kind excursions discovered by Country Travel Discoveries’ team. Recent examples include a tour of Killarney, Ireland, where travelers met the mayor and walked in the local St. Patrick’s Day Parade; an exclusive visit to the oldest polo club in the country in Rhode Island; and a private river cruise through Holland and Belgium.

Country Travel Discoveries handles the flights, lodging, details and logistics of each trip. “You just book and enjoy,” says Brooks. Unlike their competitors, the CTD team doesn’t plan their trips from behind a computer – they’re always either out traveling to a destination or speaking with local contacts on the ground.

“We have local contacts across the world,” says Nan Delwiche, vice president of operations. “They make sure every aspect of the trip is up to the highest standard – and they help us find those hidden experiences that make our tours special.”
