Two Men and a Truck
Face of Moving

Lisa Paley began working at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK 23 years ago as a part-time bookkeeper for the Madison-area franchise. What began as a paycheck quickly sparked a passion – Lisa took on more responsibility and was promoted to general manager. In 2021, she became president and part owner of the seven-location franchise group, including Milwaukee.
Paley is just one example of the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK mission to “move people forward.” The company prides itself on creating a strong, supportive culture for team members and offering opportunities for them to move forward in their careers. In fact, 75% of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK managers start out working in frontline jobs with the company. The most recent franchise owner, Cody Napoli, joined Paley’s Milwaukee franchise as an assistant operations manager at age 24. Two years later, at the urging of Paley, Napoli applied for and won a national company scholarship, allowing him to open his own franchise this year in Fond du Lac.
“When someone joins our workforce, we take the time to learn about them, find out who they are, where they want to be, what their skills are, and how we can help them move in the direction they want to go,” Paley says. “People come to us looking for a job and find a career.”
When it comes to working with clients, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK follows their “Grandma Rule” – treating every customer as they would their own grandmother. “We try to live up to our reputation as the ‘Movers Who Care®,’” Paley says. “We know that moving can be a stressful time, and we’re here to empathize with our customers, help them and make their transitions easier.”
The company seeks to innovatively create the best possible move experience for its customers. Sometimes that means adding new services. This month, Paley’s Milwaukee franchise group joins an elite national pilot program to roll out junk removal as its own brand – TWO MEN AND A JUNK TRUCK®. Keep your eyes open for new trucks on the streets!
