The Iron Horse Hotel is celebrating 15 years in business. The Walker’s Point hotel is unlike any other hotel in the city, with rugged yet sophisticated decor that has a heavy 1920s influence and a biker-friendly atmosphere in a remarkable building with deep industrial roots.

“We are the only independent lifestyle hotel in the U.S. built for riders and road warriors alike, delivering a local experience and an unforgettable stay,” says Rebecca Debo, the hotel’s director of lifestyle.

Located a short walk from the Harley-Davidson Museum, the hotel’s rooms have an authenticity that derives from the building’s industrial past. Details include 12-foot-high wood ceilings, exposed brick walls and beams, suites with fantastic views of the city, guest rooms lined in Cream City brick and more. Amenities include covered motorcycle parking and storage for your biking gear, a spa and a gym. Plus, the hotel is pup-friendly – dogs are welcome in guest rooms and in designated areas around the hotel. The hotel also has a Koss listening station, where you can spin some of its wide collection of vinyl.

Ash Hearth and Bar, the hotel’s first-floor restaurant, serves up hearty American classics from a seasonal menu. What sets it apart is the use of fire and smoke – the wood-burning oven imbues the selection of meats and vegetables with unmatched flavor. Pull up a stool for a cocktail at Branded, or dine al fresco at The Yard.

“We have a casual and unapologetic approach that appeals to the rebel professional as well as the independent traveler,” says Debo. “We’re not afraid to be edgy – we speak our mind and we’re proud of it.”
