Last year, Bartelt. The Remodeling Resource celebrated a major milestone: 40 years of building, designing and remodeling homes across Southeastern Wisconsin. 

Rick Bartelt, Bartelt’s owner and founder, has navigated four decades in a dynamic and ever-changing industry to establish Bartelt as one of the state’s premier design/build firms. He has built a team of in-house experts and trusted industry partners to maintain a high standard across all projects, ensuring innovative design, quality craftsmanship, open communication and an efficient construction process.

“We make a lot of promises and commitments to our clients,” says Bartelt. “Having our in-house experts, who we know and trust, means we can ensure your project is going to be top-notch. It’s our goal to deliver on our promises and create an exceptional experience, with everyone caring for your home and well-being from start to finish.”

Some team members have been with the business for over two decades. “They start here and they stay,” says Bartelt.

In addition to running his firm, Bartelt also started two other businesses, Y.E.S. Electric and Windham Hill Custom Cabinetry, which work alongside the remodeling company on projects.

“All three companies complement one another,” he says. “We can tell a customer, ‘The electrician will start tomorrow,’  and know it’s going to happen. And just like having our own carpenters, we know that they’re going to do the work the way we need it done.”

Bartelt projects are known for their timeless design and avoidance of passing trends, resulting in spaces that will look amazing for many years to come. And the carpentry team, pictured here, brings decades of combined experience to each project to realize the client’s vision.

“It might sound cliche to say that we’re ‘client-centric,’ but we walk the walk on that,” says Bartelt. “Everybody jumps into action to help one another and our clients. There’s a great level of care here.”
