D’Angelo & Grabow, LLP
Face of Divorce Mediation

Over a decade ago, attorneys Christine Davies D’Angelo and ReAnna Grabow met at the Waukesha County Self Help Legal Clinic, where they volunteered to help unrepresented members of the public get legal advice on divorce. They began working together shortly thereafter.
Today, they share ownership of D’Angelo & Grabow, LLP, the Waukesha-based law firm focusing on family mediation and divorce. The partners were born and raised in Waukesha, and their roots in the community fuel their commitment to making the divorce process more approachable and less adversarial.
“I think the majority of divorce cases could be settled through mediation,” says D’Angelo. “Mediation does require a level of cooperation between the parties, but if each party is willing to be open to ideas they may not have considered, mediation can work really well.” Grabow and D’Angelo work with both pro se, or unrepresented parties, to help them through the court process and with couples who have their own attorneys but have reached an impasse in their own negotiations. With over four decades of combined experience, they bring thoughtful and reasoned expertise to their clients.
As mediators, they don’t give legal advice or represent either party in the case. Instead, they serve as neutral guides, helping couples navigate difficult conversations, clarify their goals and ultimately reach a resolution that both sides can accept. While divorce is never easy, mediation offers a chance to avoid lengthy, expensive court battles and preserve a measure of cooperation and respect moving forward.
“The result may not be what you expected or everything you wanted – it will require compromise on both sides – but in the end, it is always better to make decisions for yourself rather than have a judge who is essentially a stranger make them for you,” says D’Angelo.
