Celebrate your four-legged friends at the 16th annual Brady Street Pet Parade.

Local animal lovers won’t want to miss the U.S. Bank 16th Annual Brady Street Pet Parade. This pet-centric event kicks off at 11 a.m. on Sunday, October 8 with live music by The Squeezettes and in-person registration to participate in contests. All registration proceeds the Wisconsin Humane Society.

The fun-packed day includes contests, dog agility demonstrations, live music and plenty more. Brady Street will be crawling with animals of all shapes, sizes and species, so don’t leave your guinea pig at home! All pets are welcome, from birds and lizards to hamsters in exercise balls.

Enter your pooch in the tail wagging contest, dress your pet up to vie for the best costume, or enter in the pet/owner look alike contest. All contests take place at 12:15 p.m. with the exception of the human bark contest (which is guaranteed to make for some great Snapchat stories) at 12:45 p.m.

The parade will take place at 1 p.m. and is followed by the rare opportunity to get your pet blessed by a local priest. Singer/songwriter Derek Sallmann will perform at 2:15 p.m. Meander down Brady Street to check out vendor booths and food and drink deals from East Side favorites like Hi Hat Lounge & The Garage, Jack’s American Pub and Thai-namite. Members of local band Chicken Wire Empire will wrap up the day with contemporary bluegrass.
