Loving where you live and feeling at home while you age are easy at Clement Manor. The faith-based senior living community in Greenfield focuses on supporting healthy aging for all residents. It offers a continuum of care from independent living to memory care, skilled nursing and short-term rehab. Carolina Vega, the recreational therapy manager, uses a model called SPICE – social, physical, intellectual, creative, emotional – when designing programming. “I focus on helping our residents thrive,” she says. “When they move in, there’s an opportunity to evolve and grow as part of this community.”

A few years ago, Vega noticed that the male residents weren’t as involved in the programming and that there weren’t as many opportunities that addressed their interests. “There was a real desire for belonging,” she says. “Today, that spark has grown into something meaningful. When a new man moves in, he’s personally welcomed by a group of peers and invited to join them for coffee at the men’s club – a simple moment that often becomes the start of lasting friendships. From that first connection, new residents don’t just participate – they truly find their place and thrive.”

The men’s group meets weekly, serving as an example of the Clement Manor mission: engagement in community life. “These men are proving that a social circle doesn’t have to shrink as you age. It can actually evolve and deepen,” Vega says.
