B liffert Lumber has supported Wisconsin’s building professionals with top-quality lumber and excellent customer service for more than a century. The family-owned company’s history dates to 1904, and today Bliffert has 14 storefronts that supply lumber, millwork, cabinetry, hardware and design services across Wisconsin.

Eli Bliffert, chairman of the board of directors, is a fifth-generation member of the Bliffert family. He says the company aims to serve everyone from DIY remodelers to professional designers and commercial and industrial construction companies.

Bliffert attributes the company’s long-term success to his family’s commitment to the communities they serve and the well-being of its staff and customers.

All Bliffert lumber yards support local charities and regularly partner with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity to give back to the communities they serve.

Bliffert’s lumber and millwork can be found throughout Milwaukee. Customers from decades past still call when they need help, and the company continues to assist whenever it can. “We have people come in and say, ‘I can’t find this molding or this particular type of piece anywhere,’ and we’ll have it in stock,” Bliffert says. “We have a lot of very niche, very Milwaukee-centric products, moldings especially, that we have been selling for decades.”

Whatever project you have – from a small update to a major renovation – the Bliffert team is here to make the process simple. “The lumber yard and hardware stores are in the communities to help everybody,” Bliffert says. “We’re your resource. Even if you happen to need something we don’t sell, we’ll give you a hand on where to find it.”
