“…everything a fan could want in a sequel.” Gail Pennington, St. Louis Post-Dispatch
“…a stupid movie that’s offensive to virtually everyone.” Andrew O’Hehir, Salon.com
This vapid movie sequel based on the popular, long-running HBO series boasts all the flashy fashions fans have come to love but, unfortunately, none of its genuineness. More upbeat than its predecessor, this fluffy comedy finds the infamous quartet (Parker, Cattrall, Davis, Nixon) embark on all-expense paid vacation to exotic Abu Dhabi. Still, the girls are plagued by marital and career woes among others; but, rather than expound on these realistic problems like the more clever TV series would have, SATC2 glosses over them like Samantha’s shiny lipstick. Lazy puns, offensive commentary and piles of ridiculously crazy couture are instead favored, alienating fans and all other moviegoers alike.
