“A pleasant, inoffensive 3-D animated farce…” Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times
“The general consensus on this one: Rats.” Ty Burr, Boston Globe
For a movie about an elite team of special agent guinea pigs out to save the world from annihilating household appliances, there’s nothing remarkable about this somewhat amusing animated kids movie from producer Jerry Bruckheimer (Pirates of the Caribbean). While G-Force has some funny pet store scenes and an unexpected, creative twist, the action-heavy storyline about James Bond wannabe Darwin (Rockwell) and his dynamic team of rodents is as flimsy as it is forgettable. Comedians Arnett and Galifianakis (The Hangover’s hilarious stand-out star) are foolishly underused; but, the immaculately detailed guinea pigs are the stars, however, and they are voiced vividly by an all-star cast.
