“…had me laughing with tears in my eyes.” Peter Travers, Rolling Stone
“…an unmethodical survey of a gargantuan topic…” Marjorie Baumgarten, Austin Chronicle
Exploring the causes of the economic meltdown sure is a timely topic, but Moore needs to move past the now-clichéd clips of former President George W. Bush acting silly. People either love Moore or hate him, but to be taken seriously by all he needs to present sturdier evidence for a more specific argument rather than simply proclaiming capitalism as “evil” and calling for a revolt. While he does present some new and interesting information such as companies profiting off their employees by taking out life insurance policies on them, Capitalism lacks the hard-core investigative journalism he has done in previous films like Sicko.
