6th Annual Holiday Hip-Hop Party to Benefit Arts in Milwaukee Public Schools

Arte Para Todos and amfm are supporting MPS’ arts and music programs with their 6th annual soiree.

This Friday, Dec. 23, Arte Para Todos and amfm are celebrating hip-hop and Milwaukee Public Schools with their 6th annual Holiday Hip-Hop Party at Cactus Club in Bay View. The event will feature live hip-hop performances with DJs in between acts.

The lineup will include SoloSam, Taj Raiden, Queen Tut and (The World’s Greatest) Dad. Turtle Sooup + Domonique will take over the DJ booth, while DJ Craig McNeal (WMSE 91.7 FM’s ‘The Boogie Bang, Miltown Thang’) will spin tracks in the bar.

All proceeds from the event will go toward MPS arts and music programs through Arte Para Todos, a volunteer-run organization that helps raise funds for arts and music education at Milwaukee schools. Each year, Arte Para Todos volunteers run the organization’s festival, which has raised almost $40,000. In addition, Arte Para Todos brings local musicians into schools, giving students the chance to view exclusive performances and talk with the artists.

Doors at Cactus Club open at 9 p.m. and performances start at 10 p.m. A minimum donation of $5 is required for entry.
