Today, the BMO Harris Bank in Downtown Milwaukee unveiled its 48th annual holiday exhibit, entitled “Welcome to Kandy Korners.” The city block of holiday magic will include life-sized Steiff animals in whimsical and full-of-holiday-cheer vignettes. Fun for the whole family, this free display is open through Jan. 4.

Calling all Milwaukee history lovers! The Wisconsin Historical Society is hosting author John Gurda on its new series of Facebook Live book talks. In this free event, Gurda will discuss his book, “Milwaukee: A City Built on Water,” which tells tales of brewers, brick-makers, ecologists, engineers and generations of people and how Milwaukee’s water has been a part of it all.

If you’re missing the warm weather, it might be time to visit the Mitchell Park Domes! When you visit this holiday season you can stop by the dessert and tropical domes to get your warm weather fix, and stop by to see Poinsettia Promenade, this year’s holiday show, in the show dome for a “luscious holiday garden” display. The exhibit starts Wednesday, Dec. 2 and goes until Jan. 3, and guests must register online before coming.
