Forty years ago, Rick and Chris Bartelt took a big leap. Together, the couple founded Bartelt Remodeling in 1984 – and they got married that same year! Over the past four decades, Rick and Chris have turned the company, which started out of their West Milwaukee home, into one of the premier remodeling and design firms in Wisconsin.

“We’re proud to celebrate this milestone anniversary,” Rick says. “After four decades in business, so many of our customers are now repeat and referral. That’s rewarding to see. It means we’ve taken good care of them for years. That’s how we’ve developed our reputation for quality and craftsmanship.”

Bartelt’s residential remodeling philosophy is timelessness, creating spaces that have staying power and go beyond passing trends. The company also builds custom homes. Over the past 40 years, Rick, Chris and their team have built long relationships with industry partners who ensure projects run smoothly – and Bartelt has also expanded, opening Y.E.S. Electric and Windham Hill Custom Cabinetry.

The design team, pictured here, brings decades of experience to each project. They are often the first point of contact with homeowners, walking them through each step of their project from the initial vision through to the final installation. “They’re experts in design, and they know what it takes to achieve what a homeowner wants,” Rick says. “They help people turn their dream homes into a reality.”
