When most people think of flying off into the sunset and trying something new, they probably think of tropical vacations. But Milwaukee-area company Jettset Local is allowing Milwaukeeans to do just that while staying in town.
The company, which sells passport-style coupon books, aims to support and promote local businesses. In fact, every coupon can be redeemed at a Milwaukee-area business. Katelyn Carlisle, founder of Jettset, was inspired to start the company by her family, many of whom are local business owners themselves.
“My entire life I’ve seen how hard small business owners work, and as a result it’s important that Jettset Local gives as much support to local businesses, as possible,” Carlisle said.
Last year, Carlisle launched Foodie Flight, a passport for Milwaukee food-lovers. Like a passport, the coupon books receive a stamp at each location where the discount is redeemed. This holiday season, the Foodie Flight returns with new 2018 deals. Discounts range from $5-$10 at 28 Milwaukee-area restaurants. Local favorites include Café Hollander, Sobelman’s, Freshfin Poké and Merriment Social. The $25 passport has a $260 value and the coupons, which can be applied to any menu item, are valid for all of 2018.
And new this year: Jettset is launching a new passport called the Fab Flight, featuring discounts at beauty and fitness hot spots in the Milwaukee area, such as the Barre Code, Spire Fitness and Roots Salon. Passport holders can enjoy discounts on facials, free haircuts and nail services and free yoga classes. The $30 passport has a $1,500 value and can also be used for the entirety of 2018.
Both passport options can be purchased through Jettset’s website or at their featured locales.
